Extremely Disappointed - Unprofessional and Unworthy of Your Business I strongly advise against doing business with Gold Coast Tree Houses. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a relaxing getaway. I regret not reading the warnings from other reviewers, as my experience with this establishment was nothing short of a nightmare. From the very beginning, it became apparent that the owners either lack any understanding of proper customer service or simply do not care. It almost feels as if they go out of their way to make things difficult for their guests. And let me tell you, the problems start even before you step foot on their property. Their communication is appalling and unprofessional, with misleading information and unreasonable requests that only serve to inconvenience and frustrate guests. The dismissive responses the owners give to negative Google reviews are a testament to the terrible treatment we received. They seem to possess an uncanny ability to twist things around, trying to place blame on the customers. Well, I can assure you that every single negative review you read about this place is absolutely true, based on my own horrendous experience. It's high time Gold Coast Tree Houses realizes that consumers are not to be underestimated. They underestimate the power and intelligence of their clientele. Businesses like this have no place in the market, as they clearly prioritize their own interests over the satisfaction and well-being of their customers. I eagerly await their creative response to my review, but deep down, I know it will be nothing more than an attempt to divert attention from their own shortcomings. In conclusion, I reiterate my strong recommendation to steer clear of Gold Coast Tree Houses. They do not deserve your hard-earned money, and you deserve a much better experience than what they provide.
On arrival I was very excited to see it was rustic and in keeping with the eco, environmentally friendly theme. There was a scap bin made from old fridge's, and clearly no experience was wasted on the buildings as they were made from louvred windows to allow for the use of the breeze coming from the amazing tall gum trees in which the buildings sit high above the ground looking into the bush or ocean views. The buildings are comfortable and modern for a relaxed atmosphere. I loved my whole experience. The animals are allowed to roam during the day and I was provided with food to feed them. I even touched a alpaca. And only 15 minutes to town and all the Gold Coast has to offer. Everyone was friendly, and I will come and stay again.
TLDR: Poor communication told misleading information around security deposit. Forced to cancel booking, received refund via third-party. Big headache, would not recommend. The Story: Booked a standard 4-person room. Was told initially as clearly stated in my booking details, and in their policies and conditions at the time that I was to pay a security deposit: in cash, on arrival. Then several days after the fact, Owner requested an online payment instead: by card or bank transfer, prior to the booking date. Or else, they said I was at risk of losing my booking. Inquired with Owner about the discrepancy from what they originally told me. Moreover, I asked what their bank transfer details were, so I could actually pay via online my booking details and their website didn’t contain such information, was told to pay cash originally. They simply said to look at my booking details and they stated it had always been via credit card/online payment even though my booking clearly said otherwise. Owner wasn’t able to provide any details that would allow me to pay online at any point after this. So I was forced to cancel the booking. Got a refund via third party, Owner refused to refund. The process of gaining the refund was excruciating to say the least. Hope this helps.
I simply tried asking if they allow pets and got banned and blocked from booking. If they had of said no I would of booked and not brought my pet. But they were so incredibly rude.

Was a great place to just relax and take in the surroundings and nice cool breeze. The views of Surfers Paradise are amazing. It was lots of fun to feed the animals especially the ducks and the peacocks are beautiful. Management was really lovely and easy to deal with.Rooms: 5/5
Wow, views , location, peace and serenity. Animal farm, modern or rustic accom. Pool and entertainment areas. Great for families or a romantic weekend or a group of friends. Tree houses have it all. Rooms: We stayed in one of the 2 reclaimed sheds. Well furnished with copious amounts of curiosities. Recycling at its best. Nearby activities: Many places to visit along the drive to Mt Nimmel. Walkability: Many walking paths Noteworthy details: A great petting zoo. Baby animals and more.
Disgusting service from the owner. Would not recommend to anyone. CCTV camera in the bath area AND she requested extra payments even after making the booking. Threatened to not refund us even after wanting to cancel due to her rude and disrespectful tone with us. Had to go through Airbnb directly just to get somewhere with our cancellation. Jessica the owner then messaged me directly stating she is keeping my booking money even though the refund had been processed. I pray to whoever books with this woman, doesn't get screwed around like I did.
Worst host ever. Worst experience talking to a host ever. Absolutely appalling and do not recommend to anyone to go here. Firstly, we were told that the booking was $550 we made the payment on Friday afternoon then we get a message from the owner at 12am on that morning asking for another $300 for a security deposit which was not stated on the booking. We were happy to pay and wanted to pay it as soon as we could to ensure our booking would go through smoothly. After a number of attempts to make payment it kept failing so we contacted Jessica for assistance. She was rude and short with us stating that it wasn’t her problem and that if the deposit isn’t paid by 11am we aren’t able to access the villa nor will we get our money back for the booking there is a deposit window open for 36 hours stated from Airbnb terms and conditions. We contacted Air bnb as that just didn’t seem right for Jessica to say. Air bnb stated that since the deposit couldn’t go through we were able to access the property and only face liability if something gets damaged. We assumed this problem would be solved however Jessica then refused to let us onto the property and blankly refused to give us a refund when we requested. She kept messaging us saying that she is keeping our money and there was nothing we could do about it, made it seem like she was rubbing it in our face. For an owner this is disgusting behaviour. I’ve read multiple complaints regarding Jessica and her villa’s. What we thought would be a nice relaxing get away, turned into a nightmare purely because the owner was rude, selfish and after your money. If I had read the reviews I would have stayed far away from booking with her.
It was refreshing to get back to nature in a treehouse! The host was so helpful and accommodating. During our stay there was a slight storm but the treehouse's are built so well that you wouldn't even notice!!! We felt safe and comfortable, and it was lovely listening to nature just outside my window. I highly recommend meditation outdoors, a swim, the spa and visiting the goats! My children loved our stay and I can't recommend "unplugging" enough. Bring a good book, Immerse yourself in nature and sustainable living, and you're sure to relax and recharge!
