Toby has been a great add-on to my business. Testimony for: Toby Hollington, SMART Business Coaching From: Marnee Monczko, Shaver Shop Pacific Fair & Shaver Shop Robina I need to make a confession, at the outset. When we first enlisted the help of Toby Hollington, I would have never, ever imagined the outcome. At the time, I thought we were doomed and it would be easier to declare bankruptcy. My husband & I owned and operated two high earning franchised business on the Gold Coast, but we had absolutely no money to cover the costs of running them. We are educated, intelligent, conscious, skilled people, who just could not figure out why it wasn’t adding up, no matter how hard we worked. It was not long after our first meeting with SMART Business Coaching, that Toby was able to help us discover what we were struggling with in our businesses. We spent time on addressing what we actually hoped to achieve and at the time I wonder why. Only well after the fact do I realise the relevance. It did not take long to build a fantastic working relationship with Toby. His straight forward approach, mixed with a great sense of humour, caused so many of our frustrations to fade and we had to learn how to celebrate our victories. We started running our businesses, opposed to our businesses running us! The coaching we received from Toby, enabled us to focus on the aspects of what mattered the most to running a profitable business, so we began concentrating on what effected the bottom line. Over time we were able to work smarter, so the cash flow problems that once plagued us, gradually became a distant, but bad memory. Toby’s coaching was not a quick fix by any means and the experience challenged so many aspects of our operations and our own mind set. I will not claim that this process did not require commitment and plenty of hard work, because it most certainly did! Over the course of our coaching, Toby was committed to helping us to realise our own potential. We benefited greatly because he was mindful to create so many communication opportunities with our entire team and this was a huge asset to help us to design a productive & focused group. Getting our team right really helped our businesses to thrive. As business owners we appreciated that Toby acknowledged that our success revealed new challenges. We were approached with the opportunity to sell both of our shops well ahead of when we anticipated to do so. The offer was just to good to refuse and Toby assisted us tremendously with this premature transition. Selling our businesses for a lot of money was what we actually hope to achieve! We are so fortunate that we had such a good mentor and if we ever stop travelling the world and decide to go into business again, we will be calling Toby Hollington.
Toby really knows his stuff. I was impressed with many of his suggestions and unique approach he takes in helping with business growth. It is refreshing to find a business coach that doesn't mind getting their "hands dirty" by actually doing work to help a business instead of just telling others what to do.
