Terrible work place! They bulk hire and bulk fire. Bonus scheme is unachievable, even staff that have worked there for a long time don’t make a high bonus. There is no ongoing training or support for staff. You’re trained, on the phones that same day and left to it. Then more people are hired the next week and same thing happens! People leave within 4 weeks or are fired for not reaching targets. When you phone people you don’t say “Austel Marketing” you say you’re calling from “Alliance Contact Group” or “The Information Line” which aren’t registered companies, they’re what they call those particular campaigns. The incentives change day by day, 4 sales in an hour? Leave 15 minutes early. 2 sales in an hour? Leave 15 minutes early. One of the managers Amber is known to shout and swear and look down on people and make them feel worthless. Everyone was always ill from flu or sickness bugs as the cleaner didn’t actually clean the desks, they gave you wipes to clean your own mouse and computer keyboard. The chairs are all broken and give back pain and some people had even fallen off of them. Have to put on computer a 5 minute countdown when you went to the toilet, and if you were late, it flashed bright red saying “You’re Late!” And was super embarrassing. Terrible company to work for and pretty sure they’re breaking the law with how many times they cold call people each day, how they fire people and not paying people’s super and taxes properly. Don’t work here! You will regret it!

Austel have gone into liquidation as of May 2018. How interesting.

Awful place. Employees are dirt to Austel. Management is inexperienced and don't give staff proper training. Not to mention that they tell the people being called that they're a company that doesn't even exist. Liars. Absolutely terrible. Don't bother applying here.
