Do Not Use Travel Asia, you are very likely to be sorry and totally disappointed, lied to and ripped off. I had the misfortune to use Travel Asia for a 13 day Gorgeous China tour during April - May 2017. I was left abandoned at Chengdu Airport when nobody from Travel Asia bothered to meet me at the airport as pre-arranged and paid for. Travel Asia did not meet it's duty of care to me and has since lead me on a very long, tedious and as yet unresolved process to remedy the situation as far as the truth for this abandonment and compensation goes. The itinerary is misleading as to times, dates, modes of travel, distances travelled and available free time. Of the notable hotels listed as being intended accommodation only one was actually used that was on the list and creates a false expectation of the standard to expect and paid for. There is also what can only be described as a scam where travelers are "encouraged" for a cash only payment, with no receipts, to upgrade the dining on the Yangtze cruise to receive what is sold as a better quality dining experience. From people on my tour who did not take up this scam, there is absolutely no difference of dining and menu. Add on visits to a tea house and natural medicine academy where there is pressure to purchase products at exorbitant prices you learn you are being squeezed out of as much cash as possible in what is a clear money making exercise and not a cultural experience. Trying to speak to anybody from Travel Asia after the trip who can answer questions truthfully and satisfactorily resolve my complaint about being abandoned at Chengdu Airport is now about to enter the third month. I can not get my complaint to anybody past the "Digital Marketing and Partnership Specialist" and have been refused communications with a mysterious "Marc" who is said to be running Travel Asia. The initial value of the package is very rapidly eroded by spending days travelling from one city to another due to poor planning, additional tour costs and being taken to places where you are pressured to buy or taken to stores such as Silk Road where you are delivered by the bus load and into the hands of ridiculously overpriced shops where you are certainly not the one getting a good buy. I have travelled extensively for over 30 years and Travel Asia is by far the absolute worst travel company I have had the utter displeasure to have had the dire misfortune to have dealt with. Again for your own sake Do Not use Travel Asia.

Do not travel with Travel Asia genuine lack of information. The connecting flights from Sydney to China they did not leave enough time to get from one aircraft to the next. The cruise section ran by Panda Tours was excellent as was the staff on the ship and the tour guides. Do not bother with the Olympic Park as there is nothing to see you have no access to any of the buildings. The tour guides in Beijing need to have it explained if its 40 degrees give your talks in the shaded area not in the middle of the walk way. Don' t bother travelling in China in summer as temperatures reach over 40 degrees.

Do not deal with this company. We haven't even been on the trip yet...the booking process has been a big enough nightmare. Not particularly looking forward to the trip.
