Transport Hotel

The live music on a Sunday was great. The staff tried but they were severely understaffed here for a sunny Sunday after the Melbourne marathon. The food was made with thought and care but was just a little too oily for your liking. It's a great venue and really should be better than this to hold a spot in fed square.

Stopped by on the way to watch the mighty Pies light up the MCG. Very tasty and fresh food. Place was packed as well which is always a good sign. Will be back!

Great atmosphere. Majority of the staff were joyful and happy to serve you food and drinks. Nice decor near the music stage and sun streamed in of a late arvo and evening. Live music throughout the evenings. I ordered the nachos and the loaded fries and a cocktail on two seperate nights. The portion could feed two people and was lacking salad or vegetables unfortunately. I walked out feeling stuffed because I love food! But a healthy balance would be a great approach for the future. I did order a salad seperstly but did take food home as l couldn't finish it. Thanks for a great time!!

The Transport Hotel is a nice pub that sells ordinary, pub style food. They have times were you can sit and watch sport as well. Overall, They serve up nice food and drinks.

Wow, had an amazing meal and Bloody Mary here at transport. Food was excellent, couldn’t wait to photograph. Bloody Mary on the other hand earned the place on my camera roll.. 10/10 Bibi knew what he was doing..

Wasn't great, 13 dollars for a small bowl of onion rings, 25 dollars for a cheeseburger. People skidding on the floor as there was food dropped every where one fell face first

Great location, and a bright, clean bar. Always a good time. This most recent visit, it felt like the staff weren't having much fun, which was a shame. Too eager to clean away glasses and plates and wipe table down, immediately after last bite was taken, despite not being busy. Great beers and food was tasty and good value, for a touristy place at least.

Great for kids & meals b4 NYE 930pm fireworks. Great river views. Band & music. Small menu avg $27-40. Good servings. No need to book at this time except for big groups. Close parking.

After 45 minutes waiting for our food, we enquired to be told it hadn’t been put through their system. We were then provided a full refund, and told our food would be ready in 10 minutes. After another 20 minute wait, we had to follow up again and had to physically wait at the kitchen. Once our food finally came, we pointed out to a staff member that food was still missing, and he was dismissive and rude. He continued to tell us we were wrong, and my friend never received her meal. The food we received was also cold. Unacceptable customer service and will never return to this venue.

Don't bother on a Saturday afternoon even if you have a booking. They WAY overcrowd the venue and don't put on enough staff. Waited over 20 minutes in line for drinks, in the end gave up. Could barely walk through the venue it was like sardines. We ended up leaving. Very disappointed. Feel sorry for staff as people were getting frustrated.
