I waited 9mnths to get a psychiatrist. That psychiatrist was told by the DVA delegate Rachel not to support my DVA claim. So he drilled me with questions & bullied me for 7mnths so I became very sic in the hope to lock me up in the psych ward. He incorrectly diagnosed me. The CEO told me to report him to AHPRA. He's actually gossiped about me to another patient! I phoned to report him twice hysterical I became so afraid of him. Such a cruel man.

Was really disappointed with my experience. I tried to explain to nurses and the psych how I was feeling and they said they would follow it up and never did. I felt so unheard. I was depressed and felt too unwell to participate in groups and had no help offered. I tried to articulate how I was feeling however didn’t feel supported. I had to leave due to Covid and was told I’d be followed up in 1-2 days to see how I was. It’s day 3 I’m still waiting for that phone call. I feel like I mental health support and I feel that is not accessible. This truly a disappointing experience.

I am conflicted in leaving a one star review, as I saw dr Jamal while he was a doctor there and cannot fault his care whatsoever. Unfortunately I cannot say the same after my initial appointment with Dr Agilan, who was almost half an hour late with no apology from him, however the receptionist did apologise multiple times. I left my 'emergency' appointment in a panic attack after feeling unheard, judged, and dismissed with nothing but a fact sheet and blood test for a medication that has previously been deemed unsuitable by multiple other psychiatrists. I was appalled to be told if he had the choice between bipolar disorder which I have or schizophrenia, he would pick bipolar in a second because it's an easy disorder to treat. And that he likes treating it because it's so easy, which is a true slap in the face to anyone suffering from it. He concluded the appointment with a sideways comment about having something going on personality wise with me too, despite no diagnosis of any personality disorders or elaborating on the issue further. I paid good money today to receive care, empathy and medical treatment from Dr Agilan, and was rushed out of his office while extremely distressed after receiving nothing. The lack of empathy and compassion shown to me was appalling and despite booking a follow up appointment, I am hesitant to see him again as I left my appointment feeling worse than when I entered. I would highly recommend waiting to see a different psychiatrist at TPC if you are able to, as my previous treatment there has been nothing short of fantastic. Very disappointed in my experience today.

Left my first and only, apparently appointment after talking about my childhood for 60 minutes - didn’t address current concerns at all - no follow up appointment and no game plan to move forward. Given a few brochures and told to go back to my GP. Promptly shown the door after exactly 60 minutes. Awful patient care.

This really is a wonderful establishment. Staff were professional and friendly, my doctor was world class, the food was amazing the programs engaging, and the coffee machine always flowed lovely brown deliciousness. When you need a mental health break this is truly a wonderful place.

An absolute joke. Didn’t get seen by Indian psychiatrist until 10pm he yawned and was falling asleep then took a phone call as he was on call in his full time job so much for a psychiatrist more like Uber driver Went to attend a group class the next morning and got told infront of everyone “Class is already full sorry you can’t join in” It is a 50 bed hospital and only conducts a class for 12!!!! The rest of the people are either downstairs smoking or valiuming off their heads in their room. Appalling!!!

Went for substance abuse. Its a sham. Only there for money. Even the psychiatrist told me he has to recommend I stay in longer because thats what they are told to say. Nothing but an overpriced hotel. Its cheaper and more effective to go to Brisbane. SHAME on you TPC. Only exists to scam money out of the mentally ill. DO NOT GO HERE.

Doctors & Nurses COULD do with an upgrade in their training oh and the administration tell your dr and physciatrist how to manage your health care while you stay there I guess they pay their wages so they are really slaves of the system, pity we can't clone professional service ~ other than a handful of caring staff avoid the place~ when in need of REAL compassion in time of deep need GO SOMEWHERE THAT CARES even Cairns Private are smaller but warmer and very professional and very caring their team of Drs at Cairns far surpass the Townsville Clinic. The Townsville Clinic think it is a joke. Lets see what side of their face they are smiling on by this time next year. HUMANITY DESERVES RESPECT DIGNITY AND PROPER CARE. ALSO RESPECT IS EARNED IF YOU TREAT US WITH DISDAIN OR DONT MANAGE OUR HEALTHCARE PROPERLY AND WE DONT COPE GUESS WHO HAS TO WEAR IT IN THE END. Please consider carefully before choosing a place to heal when you are very ill. YOUR life and ongoing quality of life depends on it.

Very incompetent and unprofessional ,avoid if possible though the therapy lady seems nice ,Indian shrink thinks turning up anytime ok, it's not. A week late might be fine in india. I see other earlier negative reviews for truly terrible negligence have mysteriously disappeared!!!!!! You can see my NOPE FROM SPACE!

Appalling. I doubt they could organise an aspirin in a paper bag. Some staff do try but SERIOUSLY! If you're taken physically ill while in this "hospital" expect to be dismissed and ignored rather than treated! Almost criminal really! Avoid.
