It’s located in the heart of Sydney. Town Hall is a popular event venue. There’s always an event happening almost every weekend. It’s close to numerous landmarks, train station, Queen Victoria Building is across the road. It has historical significance and the architecture is remarkable. Darling Harbour is a few minutes walk from here.
The city organist, Mr Robert Ampt, very kindly arranged for me to try the town hall organ, and even oriented me around the magnificent instrument and helped me to register the organ as I played various hymns and pieces. It was a truly amazing experience! I would make a trip to Sydney just for this again.
I have been living in sydney for 10 years, and funny that I had never been into the townhall building. I went in yesterday to enjoy the ultra violet party, and I was amazed by the interior. Such a great place for partying.
easy to access very near station but under construction now
One of the historical place of Sydney, and great architecture. During my first visit, I was confused if I was in a town or some UNESCO Herritage site. From any angle, you won't feel that you are in Town. Everything is just Awesome. And the water park is also so beautiful.
nice old building but its in middle of city. so its too much traffic you need to take care if you want to take some good photos. it was hard to take timelapse here for me because there is road work going on in front of it. other that its really nice architecture with good history.
