In have lived in Middle Park for 33 years and have eaten at this restaurant about twice a month for a decade. Firstly under its former owners Moto, Rose and their little daughter Saori who would politely chat to everyone (delightful) until Moto, who was the chef too, died of lung cancer - very sad. Rose then sold the business 2 years ago and after a refit it opened with the same popular name and it is as good as ever. 

I love the atmosphere, the staff (past and present) and most importantly the delicious traditional Japanese food with a Korean influence at times. They have a very good Saki list too. Free car parking is located outside in Armstrong St or nearby Erskine St and it is 50m from the Middle Park light rail stop (No 96 tram).

Update: Now a Thai restaurant called Little Buddha and it is excellent too.
