Always a favourite spot in Mordialloc! The seafood is fresh, crispy, and cooked to perfection every time. Love their fish tacos and the classic fish & chips — always full of flavour without being greasy. The atmosphere is casual and beachy, with super friendly staff who make you feel right at home. Great place for a relaxed lunch or dinner with family and friends. Highly recommend if you’re after quality seafood with good vibes!
The last memory of this place was before they moved a few stores away. We really missed their grilled scallops, which they no longer have.nnWe decided to try their Chef's Platter for Three, plus a few sides.nnThe platter came in a double decker stack! With a bit of mussels soup and a variety of shells, a blue swimmer crab, prawn and scallop skewers at the top and 3 different types of fish cooked differently, clamari, mini burgers and large prawns at the bottom.nnWe also had onion rings and sweet potato fries as side.nnEverything was cooked to perfection and yummy.nnThe only exception was the crab - it was definitely on the way out you can taste it and the flesh was mostly disintegrated. So, it was just a mush.nnOtherwise, still the good enough for us to return, maybe sans the crab
Fantastic atmosphere and excellent service! The staff were very friendly and helpful. I really liked that they offer daily chef specials, and the portion sizes were generous. Prices are competitive, and there’s a great variety of fish dishes, from soups to grilled and fried options. They also serve alcoholic drinks, which makes it a perfect spot to catch up with friends or enjoy a meal with family. Highly recommend!
July 2025: I am writing this review as a Level 7 contributor. I have not received any incentives from this restaurant to do a review.nnI decided to come here for lunch after a 14 km hike. I had a craving for fish, and this restaurant is near Mordialloc station. I ordered a passion fruit cider, house salad, and their Southern style fish and chips.nnThe fish was super crispy and had a kick to its taste. It was blue grenadier and tasted fresh. The chips were crispy, too, but felt a bit soggy towards the end of my lunch. I decided to add a house salad after realising that these salads were an add-on. The tangy taste balanced off the deep-fried fish. The passion fruit cider tasted light and bubbly; highly recommended for summer.nnOverall, the service was great. Warm, friendly staff. There was a 7.5% surcharge on weekends, which is reasonable for the high-quality service.
I called in last week for the Angler and Chips to take-away and eat down the beach. Really friendly staff served them up quickly and with a smile. The fish was piping hot, crisp batter and tasty to the core. Looking forward to returning and trying the other things on the menu.
