Tommy Ruff Fishbar (Mordialloc)

Visited Tommy Ruff Mordialloc twice last week, it's that good 😁. A friend took me to eat there the first time after an intense sprinting session on Mordy beach. The owner Marissa is absolutely lovely and took great care of us. In terms of the food, probably the freshest fish I've had in Melbourne apart from the Atlantic in Crown which is a top tier restaurant. That says a lot. I ate the healthy fish pack with rice and salad which was delicious. We shared a bowl of chips on the side which were really good too. Nothing negative to say about the place. Great food and great personal service. Awesome atmosphere too especially when the sun is out. Go.there.now. Fox

Great food and really liked how much variety they had on the menu. The fish was excellent - both grilled and fried but the winner for the night was definitely the potato cakes, just perfect. Enjoyed the fish tacos too but I'd probably give the mussel pot a miss next time, the sauce tasted a little too much like plain canned tomatoes. It's a very busy place so be prepared for a 30 min wait during peak hour and summertime. Best tables are at the back, much cooler than the front and less noisy too. Loved the decor as well. Service was fantastic, especially our waitress for the night. She was very friendly and attentive.

Staff very average & fish & chips mega letdown. Went after reading reviews & it was a big disappointment. Chips ok but fish was not clean at all, oily . Won't be rushing back at all.Let down😐 .

Upmarket Fish n’ Chips shop. Great selection of fish and salads plus good beer on tap. I highly recommend the barramundi with the super salad! The service is amazing. All guys are so friendly and food arrived quickly.

Salmon was a bit dry and tough in some areas. Potato cakes were ok. Nice place and staff. The other thing is disliked, was the packaging! Thick cardboard box for 2 potato cakes, another bigger box for the small flat salmon, and then a huge thick paper bag to carry these tiny pieces of food. Why are we such a wasteful selfish society? First visit here.
