Probably one of the best stocked Japanese Grocers.nnItems of note:nnRice out the wazoonJapanese sake, nihonshu, and beernAssorted unique sauces beyond teriyaki sauce - very unique.nThe frozen section has a great selection of fish, preserved vegetables, mentaiko, saba/sanma/saury and much morennJapanese snacks isn't as diverse, but there's some unique ones.nnIn the back, there's assorted Japanese household cleaners, personal hygiene products, skin care products, daiso / 3 coins like items, and assorted Japanese dishware.
Lots and lots of Japanese goods for the home, kitchen and more. Lots of things I haven't seen at other Asian supermarkets are available here, imported from Japan. Wide selection of Japanese alcohol too, including many that you don't normally find elsewhere.
Great store. A wide variety of everything Japanese. Fresh and frozen food, Condiments, Alcohol and homeware items. No I am not buying Asahi or Suntory, but I do have a cold frozen beer mug in the freezer. OK, OK, next time !! lol
Great selection of sake. It's well stocked with many Japanese goodies albeit a litttle pricey. The ladies there are not quite friendly when you ask them a question or two. So I usually just use google translate on some of the instructions/ ingredients.
Limited frozen/refrigerated Japanese food imports. Their Chinese dim sums and steam buns are marked up by heaps in comparison with Asian groceries. Tuna sashimi is from Indonesia and in view of its origin, surely it doesn’t warrant the $$$ price tag.nnHomeware section - I can get those items from Daiso which is significantly cheaper.nnProbably the only shop that has an array of Japanese snacks, sauces, condiments, preserved food, Japanese rice and sakes.nnService is not as good in comparison with other shops. The staffs are curt at times.nnI find their items are more expensive than their competition even with the 20% discount they sometimes have. I don’t spend as much as I do here unless I end up buying a massive bottle of sake. nnThe positive side is they have a token card - a stamp for every $20 purchase
