In the same way the mountain bike was designed for riding across mountains, tokyobike was conceived for pedaling around Tokyo.The concept of ‘Tokyo Slow’ emphasises comfort over speed, and a feeling of lightness from the first turn of the pedal. I really enjoy tokyo bikes products but my experience with Samual Neeft who is the distributor for Australia is appalling. I initially came to Sam at Treadly Bike Store in adelaide to speak about purchasing/ordering a custom Tokyo bike from him in February 2022. Im a very particular with my bike so i came to him to see if he can create a tokyo bike that was too my liking, we discussed all the parts that i wanted to put on my tokyo bike. All seemed great at first, he seemed super keen to help me put this together. I was told the bike wouldn't arrive until mid March 2022, i was happy to wait. Come end of March, im still waiting as Sam has told me some of the parts i was after are delayed. Kept telling me the bike would be ready “next week” for the next few months until I finally picked it up mid June 2022. To my surprise he was not able to source the parts i was after so he decided to slap on any parts he had laying around, non of which i wanted. Like i said, im very particular so i wasnt happy with this custom bike as it was not what i envisioned nor discussed with Sam at all. I made him take off all the parts and i ended up bringing the bike home in its stock state. Disappointed. Fast track to February 2023, i ordered a replacement tokyo bike saddle from the tokyo bike site. Again dealing with Sam, i was told that the saddle would not arrive until April 2023. Ok he refunded my order. Come April 2023 i order the saddle again, don't receive a confirmation or tracking for week i decided to contact Sam and was told my order has been packed and sent out. Later emailed me to say “we will send it asap” and then finally cancelling my order as he realised he didn't send out any saddle to me because he didn't have one in stock the first place. Much too my confusion, he decided to refund my order once again. But this time he told me he will send it out to me free of charge, which I appreciated but when my order did come, he had sent me a cheap MC selle saddle instead of the tokyo bike one i initially ordered. All in all im super disappointed as tokyo bike is a brand i adore. Its a shame the main distributor Sam here in Australia is beyond incompetent, it really put me off the brand.
I bought my bike second hand. I was having trouble with adjusting the seat. I went in to get some help. Best service I've received in a long time, super helpful, went above and beyond. I asked if while they were there if they could install my bike lock holder, they were more than happy. Yes their products are on the expensive side. But my bike is 5-6years old and ridden regularly and still looks and feels like a new bike. Thanks to everyone working at this store. You guys are great!
Had a great experience buying my bike from these guys. Fantastic customer service, knowledgeable and helpful every step of the way. Plus, the bike is perfect! Highly, highly recommend.

Can’t rate this place highly enough! The customer service is amazing, the guys are super helpful and full of knowledge. Just bought the classic sport and I absolutely love it! Great experience and awesome to know I can go back anytime I need anything and their awesome help is there!
