The staff was grumpy since the beginning when we entered the restaurant, like he didn’t want to work there at all. Both of the male and female staff were not friendly at all. Food is overpriced and the amount of food is so little. $28 for the unagi lunch box + $2.5 more for miso soup was not included in the lunch box. So disappointed :
We had a chance to book a table for Valentines night on the same afternoon. Booking was easy, service was good and food was delicious. We ordered special set menu for that night and enjoyed a verity of nice decorated foods. It was so busy night so some minor issues are acceptable. Also they were nice to put a candle on our desert for my birthday and on checkout, surprisingly manager gave me a box of Lindt chocolate for my birthday! What can I expect more!
Quite good - would be 4-5 starts although they charged an extra 10% for Valentine’s Day. It’s not a public holiday or a night they wouldn’t be open, so I think this is just greedy? If any comments can help justify it, I’ll happily adjust but I think this is just greed until I hear more.
Quality has improved over the years. We could see why they were packed and full on a Wednesday night. Above average in price for above average in taste. The quality of the sashimi was great. The rolls were well made. The beef and chicken mains were flavourful, tender and well cooked. Service is top notch!
We had the seafood platter for 2 and it was AWESOME! So tasty and more than enough for each of us. We also added the octopus balls - a must have! Thoroughly recommend. Service, food, portions, and pricing are great, and this is why we are regular visitors. Vegetarian options: Tempura veg in the seafood platter were so tasty and light. Delish!
Service is good, food tastes bad. Ordered steak & mushrooms on hot plate and grilled eel. -Tempura and eel sauce is bland and tastes watered down. -Steak gravy taste is too strong and sweet like dessert. Compared to most Japanese restaurants in Sydney, food is not at par and priced near to the high-end.
We have eaten at Tokio Fans for many years and absolutely love it. The tasty fresh sushi is the best! We also love the yasai salad, gyoza, beef tataki, miso soup & tempura. Great service with informal but beautiful table settings by the lake.Food: 5/5
Not authentic Japanese food, over priced, the Gyoza pork dumplings were not cooked in the middle, showed the raw pork gyoza to the waitress, she took it back to the kitchen with attitude and no apology, 15mins later came back with the same plate of pork gyoza but burnt this time!! poor customer service and ow quality food, not worth the money … would not recommend this place.
The food was amazing! So fresh and tasty. Have been wanting to try here for a while and have not been disappointed! The service was excellent too and they were so considerate of our young daughter. Thanks for a wonderful experience and a delicious meal!
In a span of 2 months I have been here twice already! The staff are great at service. Food is delicious and delivery was quick. Dish presentation was amazing! I just wished that the ambiance was a bit more pronounced. We'll definitely come back for sure!
