We took our car to TJM for the installation of a new tow bar. The car was returned with an electrical fault even though we were advised that everything had been tested. The vehicle was returned the following day for rectification. Thinking that this was a one-off we took our brand new VW Transporter van to TJM Toowoomba for the installation of new Hayman Reese tow bar. This vehicle was returned with the rear bumper damaged beyond repair due to the cutout being in the wrong location, and to make matters worse the bumper had been refitted much higher than its original position causing the rear doors to drag across the bumper damaging the paint on the doors, in addition to this; the reversing sensors defaulted to alarm at all times, and as was the case with our first experience with TJM, the VW wiring was incomplete and appeared to be untested at the time of return. As a result of poor workmanship and zero quality control both vehicles had be returned for rectification resulting in 2 days loss of work (with the van). No offer of compensation was made by TJM to assist or effort made for any inconvenience this caused.
