WARNING WARNING WARNING.. AVOID THIS BRANCH PEOPLE. UNLESS YOU WANT TO HAVE TO PUT A LARGE BOND DOWN OR HAVE TO USE YOUR CREDIT CARD. FOR THEM TO ONLY TAKE LARGE SUMS OF MONEY OF YOUR CREDIT CARD OR KEEP YOUR BOND FOR REASONS THAT ARE NOT YOUR FAULT. BOB THE SCAMMER WAS VERY PERSISTANT TO GET A LARGE BOND FROM US AND AFTER READING OTHER REVIEWS I NOW UNDERSTAND WHY. THEY LIKE TO KEEP THE BOND MONEY. BOB THE MANAGER IS COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT AND SHOULD NOT WORK IN RESERVATIONS, LET ALONE BE A MANAGER. BOTH PARTNER AND I ARE BLUECHIP MEMBERS AND THEREFOR NO BONDS HAVE EVER BEEN REQUIRED FROM ANY OTHER THRIFTY BRANCHES, ESPECIALLY MYSELF RENTING A LARGE AMOUNT OF CARS OVER THE YEARS. BOB INSISTED WE HAVE TO PAY A $750 BOND TO BE ABLE TO RENT THE CAR. THIS WAS BECAUSE MY PARTNER HAD THE WRONG PHONE NUMBER LISTED ON HER MEMBERSHIP AND SHE UPDATED IT IMMEDIATELY, HE STILL CANCELLED THE RESERVATION WITHOUT OUR CONSENT. I THEN MADE THE BOOKING IN MY NAME AND HE CANCELLED THE BOOKING AGAIN WITHOUT OUR CONSENT. BECAUSE MY DRIVERS LICENCE EXPIRY DATE NEEDED UPDATING ON MY BLUECHIP MEMBERSHIP, (MAROOCHYDORE AIRPORT WERE SUPPOSE TO OF DONE THIS A FEW MONTHS AGO) SO I WENT ONLINE AND UPDATED DETAILS STRAIGHT AWAY. HE THEN CALLED BACK AGAIN AND THREATNED TO CANCEL MY BLUECHIP MEMBERSHIP. I HAVE RAISED A FORMAL COMPLAINT TO HEAD OFFICE AND OTHER GOVERNING BODIES ABOUT THIS MANAGER. HE TREATED US LIKE WE WERE DODGY CRIMINALS AND IN A INDIRECT WAY SAID THAT. WE ARE WELL RESPECTED MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY AND DO NOT APPRECIATE BEING TREATED THIS WAY. FROM OTHER PEOPLES RESPONSE/REVIEWS ABOUT THIS GUY. HE IS A FRAUDSTER AND LIKES TO TAKE YOUR MONEY, HENCE WHY HE WAS SOO PERSISTANT TO OBTAIN A BOND FROM US. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND DO NOT RENT THROUGH THIS BRANCH.

Beware!! Do not rent here. Bob is extremely difficult to deal with and has no respect or knowledge whatsoever. He doesnt even understand basic thrifty guidelines. You have been warned!! Hope this helps everyone ☺☺

Best prices out of the several usual hire companies I checked. Car was in great condition.

Do not rent from Thrifty Noosa! They are complete fraudsters. We rented a truck from these shylocks recently. When we picked up the truck, Bob, the attendant, went through the usual process including outlining the current damage, which was extensive, although mostly superficial. When at the front of the vehicle, Bob referred to chips in the windscreen and some damage to the front of the pantec, explaining this as minor in nature. I was very surprised when, upon returning the vehicle, Bob suggested that I had caused this damage, as I was not aware of any collision on my behalf and I recalled there being damage when I picked up the vehicle. On further investigation, I also found that damage to the pantec was described on the condition report, having occurred in October just before our rental. They would not refund our $500 deposit and immediately took $1100 from my card. I have raised disputed transactions with my bank and have managed to recover the $500 so far with the $1100 pending. I’ve also lodged a complaint with the ACCC.
