We’ve been living in North Melbourne for about 16 months and have always wanted to try the Three Crowns, but for some reason or rather, we just always managed to miss it. Tonight we did and boy was I glad for that. I have the 550 Gram 4+ Rib Eye which was perfectly cooked Medium Rare. This was the best steak I’d had in a very long time. Juicy & tender with great marveling and well seasoned. My compliments to the chef and staff for their exceptional service and food offering. This is now my local..
By a very good chance ; I ordered this Chicken Parma for the first time in my life I try it and I can say that I will come again to have it more and more in the Three Crowns Hotel; a very big meal well served , tasty chicken, chips were perfectly fried and big pieces; the staff was very friendly and sociable. Not a single bad comment about here .
Came back for the steak night 2 weeks consecutively. I have to say my steak was more cook on the medium side of medium rare. But my 13yo son gave the steak roll a really, really good 10. Better than the allansford Hotel, one by far, he said. Over all another good experience. 5 start for a pub steak and pub service. Meals came out in a reasonable fashion, all presented well and cooked to perfection . There weren't any negative comments for the 7 people at our table. They definitely need to consider getting Dianne sauce on the menu The only thing I can pick on is the music was a bit loud where we were sitting to have our dinner. Possible look at acoustic treatment in the dining areas.
Obviously a popular place by the amount of patrons present. Only a short wait for a table in the bistro but not long before we were enjoying some fantastic food! I thoroughly enjoyed the sirloin steak, cooked exactly how I asked, medium rare. Such a lot of flavour, with or without the creamy peppercorn sauce on the side. Served with green vegies that were also beautifully flavoursome. To finish off, everyone's favourite, sticky date pudding and that was just as delightful as the friendly service we received. We will definitely call in again when visiting Melbourne.
My two young kids and I had a fantastic dinner last Saturday night. All the staff were very friendly and greeted us with a smile. Meals arrived promptly and were great value. Highly recommend this place for a quick easy and high quality meal with your family.

We're from Perth, over for the F1. We'd been to several pubs for dinner and were not impressed. We asked for a recommendation from a local, which took us here. Wow, fantastic food and drinks at great prices. We were served by Aiden, who was really friendly, quick and great to talk to. We had a booking for another place for my wife's birthday tomorrow night...I've since cancelled that and booked here because this place rocks. I recommend, if there's 5 or more of you, request the booth as it's a great spot. Best steaks we have ever had. Food was generous and delicious. Thanks Aiden!
Excellent food and beer! The chef is accommodating, and the manager as well. Thanks for the free beer! Except for the particular staff who gave us a bad experience... so two stars for that staff and five stars for the chef and manager. —Gravy please!
