We’ve dined in and had takeout here a few times over the last 5 years and always enjoy it. The curries all have their own unique flavours, spices and textures. One of our favourite dishes here is the samosa chaat although think this one is better when you dine in rather than as a takeaway dish. Also really like the paneer burji and chickpea curry. We will be back and would definitely recommend to others.
It was a fast service but no manner to talk with customers. We just stated that the food is uncooked and stale Nothing is fresh
I have nothing but overwhelmingly positive feedback on the catering done recently by 1000 Spices. The food was delicious. Milan and Khushiram team were just amazing. Everyone at our function raved about how terrific the food was, and how well catering staff took care of us. Their attention to detail was excellent. Moreover, they are the loveliest humans. It was like being looked after by close friends. I would recommend 1000 Spices for any traditional or modern Indian catering.
I’ve been coming to this place for several years. The new owner is very receptive and always listens to my feedback. Their goat biriyani is amazing - unlike many other restaurants, it is a true Dum biriyani. The meat is really soft and well blended. The girls are super friendly and always offer personalised service. Service is really great! I live 40 minutes from this restaurant, but still drive all the way for their great food and service.
Amazing Food!! Took my parents here for dinner and they absolutely loved it. Special thanks to Chef Milan for being an amazing cook and his hospitality
Manager of the hotel happily gave banquet hall for our gathering even when we had asked for Allakarte. But once we started our party, staff and manager behavior turned very rude. They almost forced us to have dinner as per their convenience and cleaned the table even while few people were eating. Completely inhospitable and for sure our last one at this hotel. If anyone is planning to book this place, ensure everything is agreed written, manager refused on multiple things which he agreed verbally
Very disappointed with my today's experience. I hd ordered a few times earlier using menu log and it was good but today I went on their website to place the order but it was a nightmare experience. Firstly their website says food delivered in 30 mins.. Yet we patiently waited for one hour but when the woman called up to inform that there's no one to deliver the food after I paid $7 for the delivery.. I was shocked, as it was already 2PM and I had ordered at 12.20PM and even called them right after the order to make sure they knew. Food was cold when arrived. I had ordered Indian Chinese for the second time because in 2020 after moving to homebush I had liked it once but this time noodles were burnt a little too much and since I spoke about the food so much to my family visiting here, it was quite embarrassing to witness this kind of service and then this kind of taste. Even the quantity seemed poor. Honestly, eveything might have been okay but the delay killed the entire experience especially coz we were excited and extremely hungry waiting for the lunch since 12.30PM until 2.30PM and it arrived cold. Everytime I called the lady there, she only said "I understand" as if she couldn't understand that her service cannot be acceptable so least one could do was apologise. Also, she was asking me to followup with customer service to arrange for the delivery so I told her that is not my job especially when one is hangry. Never ordering nor visiting this place after this experience. Spoke so highly of the taste to my family who are a tourist here but realised made a wrong choice. Biryani from the shop next to this restaurant would have been a better choice which I have always picked up myself but atleast their website doesn't promise 30 mins delivery.
Posting this for public interest. Walked in for a takeaway expecting something average but the food that was provided was way below average. Ordered a paneer based dish, and first time i've eaten such hard paneer in town. Generally, the paneer quality is atleast good even if the preparation is bad in Sydney. The taste was really bad. I wish if I could give less than 1 star but that seems to be the minimum. Extremely oily and distatesteful. Ordered a plain naan. The naan was half cooked. In general, you could sense that there was no intention of providing good food.I have thrown it all away in dustbin after a couple of bites.
Do not dine in. DO NOT dine in. The lady working today on Tuesday 6/03 was so incredibly rude. We were the only ones in the restaurant. We just wanted a nice meal to catch up. From the beginning she kept rushing us to order. Multiple times, she tried to take our plates away before we were done. She rushed to give us the bill. We felt VERY unwelcomed. You're working in an empty restaurant, appreciate the visit. Empty probably for good reason. I have eaten at thousand spices before, multiple times and this is the first time we felt so unwelcomed. The lady also knocked my friends water all over her plate and on the table and didn't even come with some napkins to help clean it. We ordered a drink in an EMPTY restaurant and we had to ask for it midway through the meal because she wasn't bringing it out. We will never be returning or recommending. How awful to be rushed out of a restaurant when you're just trying to enjoy your food and catch up with friends. Next time we'll go next door.
Best Indian Restaurant In Homebush area. had family dinner last night the food was very fresh and nice presentation, good portion size and well balanced spices. tandoori seek kebab was the best one we all like, highly recommend the family dinner.
