I have visited Thomas Corner multiple times and I always find the food so beautifully presented! They offer so many unique menu items, they can cater for vegans and vegetarians and the dishes always taste amazing. They are set in a beautiful location in Noosa and always provide top level service aswell!
Not a big crowd on a cold morning. The location is on a corner with great aspect over Noosa river. Refined presentation with seating and table setup. Breakfast was good. Eggs cooked perfectly. Only gripes giving it 4 were no butter with toast. Coffee ok compared to the other brews in town. If your visiting though a beautiful spot.
Nice food and good cocktails. There were plenty of staff to look after us and all were friendly. I thought the scallop squid ink roll was tasty however wouldn’t recommend trying to share it between two people like we did. The cocktails were a good option and the menu featured all the classics.
12mths ago this restaurant was a gem, now its a shadow of its former self, clearly impacted by covid staffing issues which I am sympathetic to, to a point..give it a pass and don't waste your money, at least this summer. From $18 dinosaur nuggets for the kids straight out of a $5 frozen supermarket packet to mistakes with drinks/food topped off by raw steak that cost near $50. I normally don't comment on such issues but I did mention the steak to the owner/manager at the end and all I got was excuses on how hard it was to cook sirloin, c'mon...please find someone that can cook and don't serve up freezer food for kids at gourmet prices, absolute disgrace!
We used to eat here a lot for breakfast and the food was always good. Today we went for lunch and everything about the experience was terrible. First we were shown to the table but not given menus until my wife asked the waitress for them. We then waited nearly half an hour for the food even though the restaurant was empty. Given the prices we expected high quality food and decent portion sizes. The kids spaghetti was tiny and tasted like it came from a can. I ordered the fish of the day and was served battered fish and chips, which was not what I was expecting at all. When I mentioned this to the waitress she told me that it was clearly stated on the menu, but when she tried to show me, it clearly wasn’t! My wife ordered the vegetarian option and it was basically a bowl of soggy mashed pumpkin. Overall this was the worst lunch experience we’ve had in any Noosa restaurant. Update: I did not order fish and chips, I ordered the Fish of the day as relayed by the waitress. I did not say I expected to pay $15. I said that I could have bought this for $15 at one of the many fish and chip shops down the road. This was a poor experience and you’ve only made it worse by trying to move the blame to the customer.
EDIT………Just had a lovely call from the owner, explaining the situation with an apparent toxic manager, who had also been rude and unhelpful to me. The owners did not have my contact details at that time and today, were extremely apologetic. I wished them well. Let down SO badly! Booked for 12 people for a Sunday family occasion engagement. Pre ordered the food, so all would flow nicely not paid for. When we arrived, including elderly grandparents, the restaurant was CLOSED! No one had let us know, and despite my efforts, have not heard from anyone since, or been able to make contact. I understand problems arise, but why were we not told? Left stranded on the street!
Went for brekkies with friends, all dishes looked good, and very enjoyed the cold pressed juice except there were only few cold pressed juices you can choose. The toast was a little bit tough and not crunchy, tasted insipid. Will ~ to be honest, I won’t really will go back to this restaurant if there is any chance. Cheers ;
I wish to say that the food was lovely and that Leeroy the manager was an amazing host, but alas, my family and I couldn't say this. After making several attempts at contacting Leeroy for a booking, 12 people turn up to the venue to find that the restaurant has been shut down. No warning about a cancellation of booking, no quick call to let us know not to turn up. So on a busy summer Sunday, 12 people went to celebrate an engagement and were left stranded and embarrassed. Thankfully a neighboring restaurant managed to fit us in, but this lack of communication for a very basic hospitality requirement is pretty appalling. Shame on you Leeroy.
Thomas Corner Eatery is situated in a fantastic spot. If you book in advance, you can enjoy a delicious meal in their undercover outside area with a beautiful view of Noosa River. Their service is like their food, it puts a smile on your face, and you leave satisfied.
Beautiful food. Great atmosphere. Presentation was spot on and was well priced. Definitely go back again if in Noosa.
