Nice bar but security staff are notorious for kicking people out for "being too drunk" - even if you are sitting quietly at a table and NOT sleeping or staggering or being disorderly or anything like that. They don't even tell you what you did to be thrown out. Shame as it was a good night until then.
I’ve been going to this place for 9 years now and I believe it has the best “party” experience that cairns has to offer for their nightlife. It’s not too small and not too big which is perfect for me! I would highly recommend checking this place out!
I've been going to the Woolshed for 9 years now and I can say right now that it's got the best party atmosphere of all the clubs. The staff are great, they've got the friendliest security, really fast service and the music is across the board great! The blonde asian lady behind the bar was very friendly when I needed help too, would highly recommend!

The blonde haired female bartender, is the worst. Has no idea about anything. Get some real bartenders, with knowledge, like the lovely Asian female, in the smokers area bar. Arrogant and no clue, so appalling.
Popular with backpackers. Huge pub feed at a great price. Excellent for meeting people from all around the world. Down side is that it is very busy. Tip is to eat early before the crowd arrives.

No unisex toilets. As I nonbinär person went to the women toilets my friend told me the security saw a „male with a dress“ walking into the women toilets and I should go to the males toilets next time, where I don‘t feel safe. Well, This made me feel not welcome. Even I liked the kind and queer friendly bartender. So I left. Please make space for a unisex toilet. #Don‘tfogetQUEERpeoplemakethePARTY
