Story

The Winey Cow is a great cafe located on Main Street in Mornington. Awarded Cafe of the Year in 2016 by the Restaurant & Catering Savour Awards - we are proud of the outstanding food we offer and pride ourselves on our service and our beautiful venue.

Established in 2014 by locals Cam & Jill Henderson, we look forward to welcoming you there.

This place was bustling busy! Staff were extremely friendly and took care of us through getting us a nice table to sit on with our pup who was exhausted after the long walk on the coast. The brisket Benny was stunning, amazing breakfast item. The juice was great as well and great coffee and morning brunch cocktails!
Nice place for a good hearthy food and drinks in Mornington.We loved the fresh juices , the duck salad was delicious and the sweet potato chips with beef burger delicious. The Special birthday treat is a great touch, which really adds something extra to your experience. We loved the whole experience with nice vibe, fantastic service all the girls were great, highly professional, kind and polite..;and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back.
Sooooo loved this breakfast.. shared the breakfast stack and the mushrooms with a friend and we both delighted in every morsel!! Forgot to take photos before dividing up onto share plates.. so here’s our divided share plates. Coffee is great. Service friendly. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended!!!
Amazing brunch place in Mornington. Portion was huge, and the coffee was well brewed. I really enjoyed the brunch stack. The potato was really crispy, and every bite was crunchy. The waffle was interesting, although it did not suit everybody as it was sweet and savoury at the same time. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and look forward to return in the future!
Visited here recently when in Mornington for the day. Cute little cafe with a good menu variety. The venue was clean and modern with a nice fitout, and it was nice to visit a cafe with nice toilets for once! The staff were all super friendly and attentive which, considering how busy they were, was really nice to see. The place was absolutely packed inside and outside when we visited around 1pm on a Tuesday - and it was a dull, overcast and rainy day, compared to other nearby venues which were almost empty, so we took this as a good sign. We were just lucky with our timing to get a great spot inside looking out the window. I had the Bacon Brunch Stack which was delicious - everything was well cooked and tasty, and I loved the individual potato rosti sticks - super crunchy and a little different. Halloumi was cooked perfectly as well. My partner had the Southern Fried Chicken Burger - they aren't a huge fan of thigh meat in burgers but gave it a go anyway, as it looked amazing as it went past. Only comment they had was they felt the type of cheese didn't work with the chicken, but this probably a personal preference more than anything. They enjoyed the chips, and really liked the seasoning used on them. I think they would go for the Chicken and Waffles next time, as it too looked amazing. Will definitely revisit again next time we are down the peninsula.
A bit overrated. I visited here with high expectations as the restaurant was recommended by many others including some foodies. Yet, foods are just slightly above average instead of being so outstanding as mentioned in the media. Coffee was okay but I didn’t expect it served without latte arts, disappointed.
It’s been two years since we last visited. Since then they have revamped the menu. The presentation is beautiful and I didn’t want to mess it up but I was hungry . Flavours work together in one mouthful. Service was great and the staff friendly
A few years between visits and marks a handy turn around point on the bike ride. Good service and coffee. Others had food, which looked nice and by all accounts tasted good. We got there around 8.45am and it had filled up by the time we left.
We were here for brunch and they serve lots of delicious meals here. Their menu is full of mouth watering foods here and we loved every meal we had here. I had granula which was designed really beautifully and fruity. The bergur also was really juicy and tasty. Vegetarian options: Many veggi options also is available here. Kid-friendliness: Kids menue is available.
absolutely loved the winey cow! you will definitely leave 'not whining' hehe service was super friendly and the place is located on the main strip! absolutely loved the aesthetics here - very simple and casual - great for catching up with mates food presentation was perfect and was paired welll with an actually tasty meal too! the winey cow will not disappoint!
