Story

Brass Razu is Mornington's iconic wine bar, a popular place for people of all ages who have an appreciation of good wine by the glass or bottle, a boutique or craft beer, or a cocktail - perhaps try the house specialty: Long Island iced tea – a five-spirits cocktail for 2-4 people served in a silver teapot.

Brass Razu is open for brunch, afternoon tea, and continues until late. A variety of meals or grazing plates is available throughout the day and evening and Brass Razu has received excellent reviews since the wine bar's opening in 2005.

Decorated in Renaissance style, Brass Razu offers a relaxed and comfortable environment - a place to sit, relax and chat in one of four different settings, each with its own distinct atmosphere. The Main Bar is open to a cooling breeze in summer; the courtyard allows customers to enjoy the summer sun; the Fireplace Room – always cosy but especially on a cold winter’s day; and the Florentine Room, full of comfortable sofas is also available for private functions.

Brass Razu is full of atmosphere with friendly customers and attentive staff. It's a place to come and sit, relax and chat over a wine, beer, or coffee and enjoy a selection of good food. No reservations are necessary, just drop in, say hello and enjoy the Brass Razu.

"Brass Razu is Mornington's flagship cocktail & wine bar. Serving tapas all day & night, shaking fabulous cocktails & live music, we are the destination for weekend and night time occasions. Come and see us, even if it's to find out how much we like pink!"

Cosy and eclectic cocktail bar. Friendly and engaging staff. Interesting and delicious cocktail menu which I'm looking forward to working my way through. We had the turkish delight, darkness and disgrace followed by a whiskey sour and an amarretto sour. All amazing! My only complaint is that we haven't been here sooner.
Absolutely gorgeous cocktail bar. Amazing customer service, both the chef and bartender were super lovely, friendly, and engaging people. We had the 1 cheese platter with truffle cheddar, + the baked camembert. Both were delicious, and plenty of food for two people, very filling. Also the bread that was served on the platter...gosh, the bread. I could write paragraphs on how good the bread was. Cocktails were wonderful, very creative, delicious, and well presented. Personally a big fan of espresso martinis, and their salted caramel one was the best espresso martini I've ever had. The "A Cuppa Mint" cocktail was delicious too. So cute with a little macaron, and served in a teacup. Really beautifully decorated bar, love the antique armchairs and paintings on the walls. Classy, but unique. Definitely will be coming back every time I travel to Victoria.
Dropped in with my wife and her niece who is visiting from overseas. She is 20 and understood that they wanted to see an i.d. We had images of her passport and her uni student I.d. but we were refused service. Right now we are ordering cocktails at a renowned bar in the city with no dramas. Won’t step into Brass Razu again.
Used to love coming to brass with friends to have a few drinks and laughs. We were told our group was too loud and we’re very happy to quickly leave after the live music started on Friday night. It was awful. Won’t return. There are much nicer places in mornington now and we had much more fun elsewhere!
First and most definitely last visit. Bar staff first telling a large group to be quiet, then after the live 'music' started again asked to quieten down we chose to leave and take our custom elsewhere Casa De Playa - highly recommend!. As we were leaving we noted our departure left the front room completely empty and the 'musician' was 'singing' solely for the rude bar staff!
Horrible experience. My friend had booked for 20 people and upon entry we were turned away as they overbooked and had no room left for us. Everyone left standing out in the wind and rain and my poor friend birthday girl couldn’t help but to blame herself. She has the booking on her phone and one of the staff members rudely said there’s nothing they can do. None of us will be going back here as this isn’t the first bad experience I have had at brass razu.
Great spot, the bottomless brunch was amazing. The service was nice and the espresso martinis were to die for. Such a nice area for the brunch, gorgeous decor - has a very vintage vibe to it. The outdoor setting was very nice. I really recommend the bottomless brunch.
Extremely rude staff and management. We ordered Long Island tea pots that were not at all a Long Island. The bartender put bicardi, lemonade and coke and that’s it. When I asked if it had the 5 straights as a Long Island should, he gave me attitude and a nasty tone saying the bottle is “pre-mixed”. Definitely tasted like just coke, rum and lemonade. Not a proper Long Island at all. I have been on several occasions in the last year and each time the staff have been rude, unhelpful and nasty. Giving attitude and nasty looks if you ask for something. I kindly told the manager that each time I have been recently, they have been nothing but rude and all she did was smirk and roll her eyes at me. I miss the old Brass Razu. Not sure if they have new management or not, but something has changed and it’s definitely not what it used to be. I refuse to waste my money again at such a poorly run bar. If you want a good atmosphere, with nice food and drinks, I highly recommend Casa De Playa.
Awesome Retro/Baroque style cafe/lounge... Great place to start the night with friends or family before hitting the town of Mornington... Highly recommended
Was incredibly glad to find this gem of a place. On holidays in Mornington and decided to have a few cocktails here and boy were we glad we did!! I had a fairy floss cosmo and a pimms and my partner had a salted caramel espresso martini and the tiki crush and they were amazing!! Quality cocktails, very well made and staff were very friendly. The atmosphere is really cute and gives a relaxed but fun feel. I saw they also had long Island iced tea served in a teapot which was cute and noticed quite a few people purchasing it. This place is a must to visit!
