Whalers is your typical pub serving counter meals whilst also being a bar. This makes the place very busy and very noisy to the point that it is hard to hear what the person behind the bar is saying. It might have been better if the meals area was partitioned off from the bar as the amount of people standing around drinking and talking was almost the same as those sitting and eating. I specifically went for a meal and the place was packed. Many of the vacant tables had 'Reserved' signs on them so if you intend to eat here make sure you book first. Fortunately I was able to get a bench top table where you get to sit on a stool. The menu is made up of general pub grub and is nothing out of the ordinary. The staff are helpful and friendly yet run off their feet.

Meal took 40 minutes to come out. Was stone cold. They only refunded after 20 minutes waiting for the replacement to come. Was a terrible experience. Will not be coming back. They made no effort to rectify the situation.

Slow to bring out food, and soup was porridge like in consistency! Burgers were ok, nothing to write home about.

Food was tasty fair prices big choice on menu took a while to get the food but company was good so didn't matter
