I was mortified when I took my significantly disabled friend to this bistro for lunch. For a start they would not accommodate her request for a half serve of calamari. The waitress delivered her meal and knocked a full glass of juice over the table drenching my friend's lap and causing the sticky liquid to pool under her in her wheelchair. The waitress grabbed all our serviettes in an attempt to soak up the juice but had to go get two tea towels to accomplish some sort of clean up. An off hand 'sorry' was muttered to the owner of the drink. The serviettes were not replaced, the owner of the glass of juice had to go to the bar to ask for a replacement. No enquiry was made as to my wheelchairbound friend's comfort or condition. I doubt the waitress understood the concept of hospitality. I was so sorry I had taken my friend there. We will not be returning ever.
Great pub and even better food!nHad dinner here recently and clearly must have arrived just before the rush as most tables were reserved - luckily there we found a spare one.nWe ordered from the special board the New Orleans Po Boy which was Cajun Battered Shrimp in a house made roll with lettuce, tomato and remoulade dressing plus the Fish of the Day which was Grilled Humpty Do Barramundi with scalloped potatoes and Moroccan Salad.nBoth dishes were really tasty even down to the house made bread roll! and were the perfect serving size.nThe staff here were really nice too - both the bar staff and wait staff - everyone! Which always creates a great vibe.nWill definitely swing by here again if we are ever back in Warrnambool!
My Husband took me here for my birthday, the hotel is beautiful with loads of old school character about it and the food was on point.nThe service was good and very friendly as always, this was my 4th time here.nWe bought mum out here for lunch last time it is a lovely environment and not to loud as you can hold a conversation and hear each other.nWill be back again for sure.
Stayed at a very good and affordable hotel in Warrnambool with welcoming staff and a fantastic location. The meals and drinks were absolutely delicious! Initially planned to stay for 2 nights but enjoyed it so much that I extended my stay for two more nights.
Love this place, the staff are so accommodating and nothing is too much, food is always on point and their coffee is great, I with mothers group every month or so and they allow us to use the meeting room so the kids can run around, just an all round great place
