The Well Retreat

I was lucky enough to find Caren and The Well School at the beginning of lockdown and signed up to the clinical aromatherapy course. Caren is a great tutor and and I thoroughly enjoyed the live zoom lessons. She encourages you to succeed and has such a love and passion for the oils that is contagious!!! She builds a family of her Well students and we are all still connected even though we have passed our exams and moved on. The Well School is also a lovely warm and welcoming place to visit - I just wish I lived closer!!

I have attended the Pilates class for a few years now. I can honestly say I absolutely love it and the only form of exercise I have stuck with. Caren is absolutely fabulous. Each week a different routine offering different levels to work at, so everyone can work within their own limits or push themselves. The class size is perfect , you get to know everyone in the class, have some very interesting topics of conversations and Caren checks we are correctly positioning ourselves. She really cares about our well being and her positive energy is felt. If you haven’t tried it yet, you should! Also I have received had a couple of amazing massages. Pure bliss and looking forward to my next appointment. I feel like a new woman when I leave! Totally recommend.

I am blessed to have Caren and The Well Retreat in my life. I undertook a very comprehensive Aromatherapy and Massage course, run by Caren, and I was honoured that I was asked to work at The Well Retreat once I qualified. It's the most wonderful place to work, not only because the building is beautiful, but because it brings together an amazing collection of knowledgeable therapists covering a wide range of options to boost your well being.

I’m a regular visitor of The Well Retreat for massage 10 !!, clinical hypnotherapy, reflexology, sound bowls, aromatherapy products. Previously attended Pilates and yoga which were also so brilliant, attentive and welcoming. Highly recommend the team and services they offer.

Caren's Pilates classes are excellent, I would recommend them to anyone who wants to start or continue with Pilates. Caren is very knowledgeable about it and thorough and if you feel uncomfortable with any of the stances, she will suggest an alternative. She also has a cracking sense of humour so classes are always fun. If you're looking for a Yoga class which is challenging and faster-paced than usual, Liyen does a Vinyasa Flow on Wednesday evenings. Liyen is really lovely, positive and relaxed and her classes are great. Trish is a wonderful massage therapist and has wonderful healing hands. Llewelyn runs the reception area and is always very friendly and helpful and he also sells the wonderful essential oils and blended products made with them. These are usually beautifully scenting the pilates/yoga room while you exercise. The Well Retreat is just a lovely, welcoming, relaxing place to be, and the team are all wonderful. Also a special mention for Ceri who books our classes and is very friendly and helpful.

I'm so glad I have found Caren and her team at the Well School and Well Retreat. I very much enjoy her Aromatherapy course which is very extensive and covers everything you need to know about essential oils and massage. The workshops are very informative offering a wide range of topics. Caren is a power woman, very knowledgeable, a ray of sunshine, always positive and you feel very much looked after. Highly recommended!

I live far so I can't attend Caren's classes in person, but thanks to the lockdown, I have been able to attend many of her Zoom Pilates classes, group and 1-2-1, as well as Clinical Aromatherapy Webinars. I have been doing Pilates for over 10 years now, and even though it's just over Zoom online, I am so impressed with the difference it makes to have an amazing tutor like Caren. She is actually the best Pilates tutor I have had. I of course LOVE all the Clinical Aromatherapy webinars too, and I can not wait for more during this second lockdown. Pilates classes at The Well Retreat, in this tranquil environment with Caren is the highlight of my week. Caren is an amazing teacher she is extremely knowledgeable and makes every class new, interesting and fun. Caren puts lots of effort into her class programs and each week is different. She has empowered me to understand and look after my body as best I can. I love her style and would highly recommend giving one of her classes a try.

I had the seasonal special massage with Trish. It was a 60 minute treatment and I absolutely loved it. Orange blossom, geranium, lavender and basil oils were used and the scent was incredible. Trish gave me a fantastic shoulder/neck massage, followed by a wonderful foot massage, then a full back massage, finishing with a scalp massage. It was heavenly! Cannot recommend this treatment highly enough.
