June 2022 **Revamped, reinvigorated and really fantastic** Had the opportunity to dine during lunch service at the newly refurbished Wedge and it was an absolute delight. The Wedge will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner some evenings with separate menus for each time of day. The new food menu for lunch is fresh, current and refined. Very accessible options that caters for different preferences and dietary requirements. Cafe favourites elevated with a touch of class by a seemingly fabulous kitchen team. The service was super - friendly, approachable and helpful with explaining the different menu items. Beautiful decor, crockery and worth not just one visit but many! Sitting on the bench looking out the street was beautiful. Edit: Came back for dinner and hell yeah it was ACE!! The steak and duck dishes were cooked actual medium rare.
Love love love this cafe! Amazing food, reasonable price for the quality and flavor each food provides. Dinner is an absolute gem, it is something you wouldn’t expect from a local cafe but The Wedge made it work somehow. Simply divine.
Had a great experience here. The bruschetta was incredibly fresh and tasty, and the coffee superb. The service was friendly, efficient, and attentive without being intrusive. I sat a little close to the speakers at the front and found the music a little overbearing so early in the am. This could be easily resolved by sitting elsewhere though. I’ll definitely be back!
The ‘new’ Wedge, fit out looks cool but makes this place look like a bar rather than a cafe. Got a small coffee flat white $4.50 and a Portugaise tart $6 and had to ask if they had got the price right. At these prices you expect perfection. A check of the menu shows that everything was very expensive. Tart was overly sweet, but the pastry was good - $6, nah mate, not again. Now at $4.50 a coffee, I expect an excellent balance between coffee and milk. Sadly this didn’t occur. The baristas used some automatic milk foaming machine, which produced a watery milk. Coffee was also insufficient for the drink. Staff weren’t particularly friendly either. Given how many cafes are on this block - and the quality of beverage you can get nearby, I won’t be back unless everyone else is closed.
The coffee was alright but the danish was amazing. I’m keen to visit this venue again and have a proper meal dining in. Excellent customer service. Friendly and attentive staff. I like the smiley face packaging. I was certainly feeling the good vibes
The Wedge is one of our favorite places with a friendly staff at Glebe Point Rd. We especially love to sit on the bench and enjoy our breakfast. The banana pancakes are definitely a must-try. The avocado toast is also delicious. Definitely recommend it.
So impressed. Great coffee and awesome food. Am loving the new upgraded Wedge and can’t wait to try out the dinner menu. Highly recommend!
The food tasted ok but not exceptional. Really overpriced. Egg Benedict with one egg over hash only + chorizo was $31. Pasta Salad tasted nice but overall the experience, location, and the food quality don’t justify $35-40 pp for brunch
The service was great. This busy restaurant has a good location. Can be hard to find parking. Staff was friendly. A lot of options for Vegan and Vegetarian
Very tasty food and great value per price. Kind staff. Good for any moment of the day. They also have tasty cocktails and a broad wine menu. I loved it! Definitely a good place to go.Recommended dishesDouble Smoked Ham Toastie, Poached Chicken Sambo
