I want to take a moment to acknowledge the wonderful staff at The Warehouse Botany Downs.nWe recently moved into a new rental and I was looking for a wall mirror for the guest toilet. I found the perfect one online, which showed as in stock, so I headed into the store to purchase it. Unfortunately, none of the floor staff could locate the two mirrors the system indicated were available.nA few days later, the same mirror was on sale for half the price. I returned to the store hoping to grab at least one, but was told it was now sold out. The floor team kindly redirected me to Customer Service, where a lovely staff member named Nadine went above and beyond to help me.nI stayed calm but was understandably disappointed. Remembering Lewis Howes’ phrase “What are the chances…”, I decided to ask Nadine if there was any possibility of getting a similar mirror that was in stock at the sale price. She spoke with the manager and returned with a fantastic solution: if I came back at 9pm that evening when the manager was on site, they would issue me a gift card for the value and I could choose a replacement mirror.nThat night, my 9-year-old daughter and I returned to the store. Not only did they honor the gift card and let me take a new mirror at no charge, but they also spoiled my daughter with some treats using the remaining balance on the card.nA huge thank you to Nadine and Yvette — your customer service was truly outstanding and genuinely made my day. This is exactly why I love shopping at The Warehouse. Highly recommended!
Josh just saved my Christmas.nnI was after a Disney plushie for my gf’s mother, that had an annoying sku which multiple plushies were linekd to. I’ve been to two other Warehouse locations and had been met with lackluster customer service; pointing me towards the direction and/or not bothering to investigate stock amounts. And then I met Josh. This man looked up the sku, grabbed a ladder, and went hunting. The situation was getting dire as each box he skimmed through failed to match what we were after. The last box looked grim, but as he turned it around, low and behold was the fateful sku I’ve been feining to find. The toy was raised out of the box like a new born child and passed to me. In that heart racing moment I promised to Josh that I’d write him a Google review. Please give him a raise.
I've had consistently great experiences at the Botany branch. Dom and Liz have both been incredibly helpful, and the rest of the team are always friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to go above and beyond when it comes to product enquiries. From my experience, this branch consistently provides a higher level of customer service than some of the other locations. Keep up the great work!
I was quite disappointed with my experience at the entertainment centre. I waited around five minutes without being acknowledged or served. I then approached an employee for assistance and was told someone would come over shortly, but after waiting an additional four minutes, no one arrived.nnThis left me frustrated, as an entertainment centre should be welcoming and attentive to customers. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the experience I had
Today I purchased a luggage bag from The Warehouse Botany. When I went to pay, Helena, the staff member at the checkout, scanned the item and checked it. She believed that the small carry bag inside was included with the larger luggage bag, and I paid based on that understanding.nHowever, another staff member, Usha, suddenly intervened in a very rude and humiliating manner. She took the bag, opened it in front of everyone, and made a scene while customers were watching. I felt extremely embarrassed, as it made me feel as though I had done something wrong or was trying to take something that did not belong to me.nThe reason I chose this luggage was because I thought it included the smaller carry bag. It later turned out that the price was only for the large suitcase. I spoke with the manager, who explained that due to limited storage space, the bags are displayed inside each other. I explained that customers cannot be expected to know this. It is not our responsibility to open the bags and determine whether the items belong together or not. Clearer signage or labeling should be provided to avoid confusion.nI would like to acknowledge Helena, who was professional, kind, and apologetic throughout the situation. She even said she was unaware that the smaller bag was not included. My concern is not with Helena, but with Usha's attitude and the disrespectful way she handled the situation. Despite seeing how upset and embarrassed I was, she never apologized and instead seemed more interested in proving that she was right.nI expect customers to be treated with respect and dignity. While misunderstandings can happen, the way this situation was handled was unacceptable and left me feeling humiliated.
