My wife found a bunch of really nice pieces at a fair price. The men’s section is rather small but I still got a pair of shorts and a nice shirt for about 50 $ altogether. We both left happy! :)

Appalling. Not one to write negative reviews but felt this needed sharing. My daughter of the age of 14 recently visited the 'Walk in Wardrobe' in Queenstown looking to make a little bit of money off some of her clothes for the holidays. Having been in the vintage clothing business for some time myself, I was appalled at how my daughter was absolutely swindled of the worth of her clothing by the staff. What the staff at the 'walk in wardrobe' selected from what she had offered had a worth of around $500 (having investigated the worth of the same/similar articles of clothing on second-hand retail websites such as trademe, eBay, Amazon and Etsy as well as taking into account the original prices), all barely worn and in like new condition. My daughter, however, was offered $50 or a laughable $80 worth of store credit of which she chose the $50 cash. Having sensed the injustice she quietly took her earnings of which she did spend $30 in store - and being the unconfrontational girl she is, didn't make a fuss. Have learnt from this experience to not let my daughter exchange clothing for cash from this shop without adult accompaniment as to avoid being utterly ripped off. Would warn against any considering to exchange used clothing for cash from this store. If you are looking to make a little money from some of your unused clothing, I would encourage you to sell via Trademe or Etsy. Parents - beware of your teenagers exchanging clothing for cash at this store.
