This is by far the best cafe I have been to while in Newcastle! I am all about customer service and food quality and this place leaves every other cafe in Newcastle for dead! Felt so welcomed, they explained how the menu works & had conversations with us which was so friendly. I honestly wish there was one in Sydney! Portions are perfect and the price left me baffled! In Sydney I would have spent 3x the amount for the same amount of food & drink! Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access Dietary restrictions: Made sure to cook food separately

Warm and inviting, clean - they make their own flat bread and fill it will fillings of choice. I had the zucchini, mozzarella and egg with basil oil. Yum! Cannot fault it. Will eat here again $8.50 was surprisingly cheap!!! Vegetarian options: She cooks all veg options on separate grill

Usually if I am in a new place, I would want to wander around and try different cafes, but The Umbrian was impossible not to go back to - despite being in Newcastle for just two days, I went four times. Such a friendly vibe, such beautiful food and absolutely incredible coffee. I would genuinely travel to Newy just to come back here again.

Best coffee in Newcastle! The people here are so wonderful, welcoming and kind! The cafe always has great music playing that isn't too loud, the atmosphere is excellent! Ty Olivia!

Great coffee and delicious slice of house made banana . Very reasonable prices. Very friendly and warm atmosphere 5 minutes walk ‍ from my new home ,so will definitely be a regular

We had an enjoyable breakfast here with lovely coffee. The service and hospitality was just lovely, thank you for tailor making the breakfast wrap so that it was easier to eat for our 2 year old.
