Saw The Eagles Experience at this fabulous venue. Be sure to grab one of their divine hamburgers while you’re there. You won’t be disappointed. Happy, friendly service. Great night had by all!
Talk about a great space. Even the food truck next door was great with the chicken tenders, burger and sweet potato croquettes. We watched a show and were able to take the food in during that time Drinks in the outside bar were fair with a combination of craft beers and your mainstay spirits. Really happy they still do jugs of soft drinks too. Definitely a place to relax and enjoy.
Went to see Neil Young revival with Jeff Martin. The venue is cool but no seats. The band started more than an hour late. Standing there for that long was boring and tiresome. When the band finally came on, no apology, no recognition of us all waiting or any explanation of any kind! So rude.. They play a few songs, then take a break for around 45 minutes, could have been longer, I lost track of time.. Again, we are all waiting waiting waiting.....nThe acoustics were not the best at times but I don't know if that's the fault of the band or the venue. This was my first time at the Triffid and disappointing more because of the slack band, than the venue, though if we could sit down we may have been more comfortable.
Went to see Hothouse Flowers at the Triffid last night and had the greatest night of my life - thanks to the staff. While the venue itself was amazing, it was the staff that made it all happen. I have a disability, but the staff - from management to security- made me feel welcome and incredibly well looked after, going above and beyond my nuisance ways to make me feel included, cared for and a genuine part of the community. Thank you Triffid, you guys are amazing.
