Went to see Neil Young revival with Jeff Martin. The venue is cool but no seats. The band started more than an hour late. Standing there for that long was boring and tiresome. When the band finally came on, no apology, no recognition of us all waiting or any explanation of any kind! So rude.. They play a few songs, then take a break for around 45 minutes, could have been longer, I lost track of time.. Again, we are all waiting waiting waiting.....nThe acoustics were not the best at times but I don't know if that's the fault of the band or the venue. This was my first time at the Triffid and disappointing more because of the slack band, than the venue, though if we could sit down we may have been more comfortable.
Great venue for concerts! The hall can hold a very decent amount of people but it can still make the event feel quite intimate with the artist.nnGood selection of drinks at the bar and wellsecurity doa great job keeping everyone in order.
Great Live music! Great Venue! Sorry to say that Sunday nights are not a good option as workers are not paid penalty rates apparently!nAnd the service was average and closed early! 10pmn as you would expect if your wages were being cut.
Never been, never thought to go. We went to watch my homie play in his band Awful Noise, when they were supporting an international act .nnWhat an experience, this venue is awesome. The design, in the old hanger style not just looked amazing but created awesome acoustics.nnWe have already planned a return for further international acts that are coming out.
One of the best live venues in Brisbane. Thanks to the amazing venue staff including security staff myself and my daughters got the best seats in the room for last nights Beards concert. Epic Beards performance and made even better thanks to the Triffid team.
