The Townsville Dental Centre

I attended this dental practise for emergency on a Sunday. I went to ED a few times and was prescribed incorrect medication and was told to book in to a dentist. I was struggling to find any immediate available appointments. The lady who took call had the most professional tone and mentioned earliest appointment was in a few days. I called back later in the day as nothing was easing my pain. I was able to book a next day appointment. The dentist and dental nurse where professional and helped calm me, by this time I was in severe pain and was very emotional. I couldn't recommend this practise enough. It was clean, professional and a great level of explanation of procedure.

Dental review Generally reasonable with positives and negatives similar to other reviews Positives Were able to do an emergency dental filling replacement on the same day Dentist seemed reasonably good and had a lot of experience around the world. Next day follow up call. Negatives Toxic style receptionist was awkward, misleading etc to abusive to an extreme Small dental center in a shopping mall. Small dental rooms and tiny waiting room facing the shopping mall corridor. The fees changed from likely 300 to near 600.

Unwelcoming. Felt like I was in a other country. Untidy and unorganised inside the consultation rooms. Dental assistant had absolutely no clue what was happening and the dentist appeared inexperienced. Absolute rip off for services. There are better surgeries in Townsville.

The Reception staff are not very friendly or welcoming at all, not even a smile from them. They don't explain treatment costs and expect you to understand the dental terminology without explaining what procedures you are actually paying for. This has really put me off from returning but I did like Sonia, the Dentist, she was very helpful and friendly.

We were leaving Townsville early on a Sunday morning to drive home to Brisbane when we dropped in to dentist to seek help with a sudden painful issue with our daughter's brace. The staff were amazing. They attended to her immediately and got us on our way. She couldn't eat, had ulcers and was in tears with the pain so we were so appreciative for their help. They even phoned the next day to check all was well. So impressive and would be using them if we were locals!

Let me start by saying I normally hate the dentist. I'd rather run an ultra-marathon or eat a bowl of coriander than have my teeth worked on. Maybe I'm biased after 7 years of army dentists where they butchered my mouth like a scene out of the movie Saw. That said, I attended the Townsville Dental Centre to get a crown and was simply wowed by the skill and professional friendliness that Anjana Waran and her assistant showed me. Anjana was the most gentle and caring dentist I've ever had and I really appreciated the efforts she went to explain to me the procedure. Despite a crown procedure usually being one of the more major procedures you can get, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy and relatively pain free it all went. I'm very happy with my new crown and will be returning regularly to the Townsville Dental Centre at Fairfield Waters for my check-ups. Thank you again Anjana for the incredible work you do.

This is my local dentist, they are very friendly and have good facilities. The dentists are polite and courteous, and very professional. They are also convenient with longer opening hours.

Called for appointment they could fit me in three days when I said I was using a voucher better make that 10+ days too bad I am in lots of pain. Family dentist HA!!

Amazing service, squeezed me in the day I called up and followed up with a cal to ensure I was doing well.

I often go to Townsville Dental Centre for my 8 years daughter for regular checkups. In these 8 years she has never faced a single teeth problem and credit goes to Townsville Dental Centre.
