The two bedroom apartment was beautifully appointed with the best views of the city. Loved the location as it was walking distance to Pacific Fair and to Broadbeach. Indoor facilities like the indoor pool, sauna, gym were good but crowded. Probably insufficient in size to service so many guests in this tall building. Everything was great about our stay except for the very long wait times for the lifts. I reckon they should have designed this tall building with 8 lifts instead of 4. This meant that we had to think twice before leaving the apartment as we would be faced with long wait times just to get in and out of the building. The lift issue aside, it was still a wonderful luxurious stay!
Apartments were serviced well and accompanied by stunning views of the Gold Coast, particularly at night.nnThe complex is well situated with restaurants, Pacific Fair, and the casino only a short walk away.nnOf concern are the lifts, or lack thereof; the tower is such that 7-8 lifts are necessary, not four. On several occassions we were left waiting for up to 10 minutes in the lift lobby and had to contend with the lifts stopping at nearly every floor on its descent from level 38—a great way to kick off the morning.nnOverall we enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the near future.
I’d like to share my personal experience as a review. The suite was completely clean with nice view of city, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room had an amazing and stunning view.nBoth pools had extremely dirty glass walls, which seemed like they hadn’t been cleaned for months, and the steam room was in a similar condition. Surprisingly, the spa water wasn’t warm at all, which many guests found strange. Additionally, the water jets in the indoor spa were not working, which was quite disappointing.nOne thing you might notice when you get there is that the outdoor pool is shared with three neighboring hotels, meaning their guests also use it.nPersonally, I wouldn’t choose this place again for a second stay.
Recent stay in 2 bed 2 bath ocean view apartment.Great position close to Pacific Fair. Stunning view. Adequate but not high end apartment. Terrible shower pressure. The tower lifts are slow, crowded and totally inadequate. The Harvest buffet is a zoo after 9am and will not cope when tower 2 opens. No surprise Star is almost insolvent.
Cons: Atrocious planning with 4 lifts for 57 floors. What were they thinking!!? It can take 20 mins to wait for a lift. Yes that’s right. Very rude staff. Pretty run down in star. Pros: Great views up high, great facilities, great location to pacific fair and Broadbeach shops and beach. Unfortunately the cons outweigh the pros so won’t be back.
