Worst service I've had at any hotel in Australia of comparable price.nnChecking in was a nightmare. The receptionist was rude and didn't ask the height of my vehicle before sending us around the block to parking that we couldn't fit in. They do have parking for over 1.95m but it's a hike back from this location.nnAfter eating the worst burnt $30 cheeseburger at the pool area, we came back to see how room hadn't been made up.nnOn booking.com there are different price options for with and without house keeping.nnWe decided to pay $120 extra for the 3 night stay to have house keeping included.nnDespite this, reception and the support staff on the phone were adamant that house keeping was not included.nnWe further sent them proof of our booking and a screenshot of included services, but they said we just have to take it up with booking dot com as it is a problem on their end and has nothing to do with them.nnOh.... and you have to wait half an hour every time you want to catch a lift.nnThere is far better places to stay for $400 per night, that include house keeping. Stay well clear.
Very well appointed apartments, which were modern and clean. We stayed in 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom with media room which was a great size for a family of four. Great pool area, although it does get busy, so you need to be early to get a seat. Short walk to Broadbeach restaurants and Pacific Fair. Will definitely stay again.
Arrived at hotel on a Saturday , hopped in the lift to go to the room soon after , arrived in the room on the Monday. Human evolution was quicker then the lifts at this hotel. If your planning on going to the beach , a show , the casino etc, allow yourself 4 working days to get down stairs. Attending a wedding on the Gold Coast and staying at The Star Residences ....nnSorry you'll miss it .nnTake your chances and jump off the balcony before attempting the circus that is the lifts at this hotel.
This was my third time staying at this hotel. I had always had a pleasant experience until this time, when my originally good mood was completely ruined by the extremely unprofessional service and arrogant, rude customer service attitude!nnLast night, my family, including my 8-month-old baby, checked into the hotel. We found that the air conditioning in Room 14505 was not working. I contacted the front desk, and two staff members came to check the issue. After at least 30 minutes, they confirmed that the air conditioning indeed had a problem but could not be quickly fixed. They informed the front desk, which then arranged for us to switch to Room 14211.nnThroughout this process, we were required to move all our luggage to the new room by ourselves. A staff member took almost 30 minutes just to bring the key and offered no assistance whatsoever. There was not even a hint of an apology from the hotel. Later, we discovered that the air conditioning in Room 14211 also had a similar issue. Once again, I contacted customer service, and the front desk came to check. They said they could arrange another room, this time Room 14011, where the air conditioning finally worked properly.nnI want to particularly thank the girl who arranged Room 14011 for us. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name, but she helped us move our belongings to this suitable room.nnThe entire night, we were exhausted, dragging our luggage back and forth due to the hotel’s facility issues. Our 8-month-old baby couldn’t rest on time, and it wasn’t until around 2:30 a.m. the next day that we were finally able to get some sleep.nnWe requested that the hotel address our unpleasant experience. The front desk said they would consider it and give us a response the next day. However, the response left us utterly shocked. They outright denied that the previous rooms had any air conditioning issues, claiming that the rooms we had complained about were now occupied by other guests without any reported issues. They completely shifted the blame onto us, stating that our standards for air conditioning were too high.nnTo make matters worse, they arrogantly offered to waive the $60 rental fee for our baby cot and highchair as their “final offer.” As if this was some kind of favor to us! Do you think I care about the $60?nnWhat angered me most was the hotel’s blatant denial of facts, distortion of the truth, and their arrogant, unprofessional, and indifferent attitude. I understand that it’s peak season, and you might not care about losing customers because of the high demand. However, I want to say that your disgraceful service, poor management, and unprofessional behavior should bring you shame!nnEven the technicians that night clearly called the front desk in our presence to report the issue and recommended changing rooms. Yet, you still have the audacity to deny the facts. This experience showed me just how shameless and incompetent the worst hotel in the world can be.nnI strongly discourage anyone from staying at this terrible hotel. If you want to ruin your vacation and good mood, go ahead and book it!
Amazing room and views. Check in was easy and great service. Hard to find entrance/way to reception. The lifts can be very slow at peak traffic times..
