Thank you Dorsett for a lovely stay! We stayed here for a birthday celebration and were made to feel very welcomed. Staff were very friendly, checkin/check out was easy and quick. Location was AMAZING! Less than 5 minute walk to Broadbeach restaurant and cafes, and the beach was near by. On Easter Sunday there was Easter eggs hidden around the lobby which was cute of the hotel to do.nBreakfast was average but could have been better. The bed felt a bit small for a king so not sure if the room was mixed up. Overall will definitely stay again and highly recommend
5 star EVERYTHING! One review I am able to give which is for a hotel absolutely flawless. The staff, friendly, helpful, happy and efficient not to mention extremely accommodating. The rooms, wow! They're massive, very clean, very well set up and we were even left gifts being it was our anniversary. The bathroom was something out of 5 star hotels and the beds super comfy and very big. The balcony was a great size and we had a great view! Room service was extremely cheap and fast and access to all the pools was a very big high point. For the price paid we were definitely not expecting that, 5 star hotel on a 2 star hotel budget, phenomenal 5 stars on every aspect. Thank you so much
Lovely room, ultra-comfy bed and pillows. Pool is gorgeous, even if a tad chilly, but it was mid April. Great location - access to all the restaurants at The Star and many more just a short walk away. 5 minutes to the beach. 5 minutes to Pacific Fair. The Executive Lounge for breakfast and late afternoon drinks and canapes was expensive, but worth it.nThe room could have been vacuumed more thoroughly, but that is my only complaint.
My Fiancée and I were so excited to stay here, little did we know and understand for over $400 a night got us a tiny room with absolutely no life. Falsely advertising the rooms to be absolutely beautiful. We came down to the reception and were able to speak to Georgia about a possible change of room, the room was the same but with a balcony. I wish we could have our money and time back, this was to celebrate our engagement. We will probably check out soon and never come back.
Pretty average stay for a 4 star hotel. Reception at check in could have been better- a long wait to check in despite that there were 3 other staff and 1 other person in front of me..not very efficient. No pardons or manners for taking much longer at check in or much information/orientation about anything else- honestly received better reception at a hostel. Jennifer, a German sounding woman was training up a duty manager and told me that they will put the details through for a late check out as we would be changing rooms after, of course when I had called to reception on the day of checking out nobody found on the system that we were for a midday check out- no surprise. Poorly executed check in. Of course, this isn't to say all the staff did a poor job.nnWifi connection isn't very strong or secure, it is open to the public so anyone can use it which can be a cyber security risk. It is about almost a 6-10 minute walk just to walk to the dorsett hotel from the main road depending which way you enter, so it is slightly inconvenient despite being surrounded by the Pacific Fair SC 20minute walk and Broadbeach 10minute walk. The balcony area is a little bit sketch as it was easy to get around over to the other side and even look into other people's hotel rooms leaving us locking our balcony doors whenever we weren't there. Only good thing was the pool area. Not very vibey place. View from our room was okay, facing the poolside, nothing too spectacular. If you enjoy being close to the casino then go for it, otherwise unlikely to stay here again unless it was for a great deal and no other options.
