I stayed one night at Meriton Broadbeach for a company event. The checkin experience was good and I was in my room quickly. The room itself was large and modern with great views. The bed was comfy and the TV was modern and internet and TV streaming was great.nnIt can be a little hard to get hold of the front desk in busy times I ended up just going down to the desk, but staff were lovely once I got there.
Had the Ocean View King Suite which was outstanding value for money. Effectively, your own apartment, with all the added amenities of a well run hotel. I was not disappointed with a single thing and likely, neither will you. Book direct with Meriton for discounted rates.
Very disappointing stay. Firstly, the bed was on wheels, as a couple staying at a hotel I don't think I need to point out how inconvenient a bed on wheels is. Also mattress was hard as a rock. We were refused any housekeeping services and were told we weren't staying long enough. That meant no fresh bedding or even a quick vacuum of the room. If you pay for a hotel you should get housekeeping services whenever you request it. I asked for a smaller pillow and was told I'd be charge for it so the best they could offer was a low profile version of their normal pillows it was basically the same. The tv didn't work properly, the dryer didn't work, there was no running water the first night of our stay. Booked for a 3 night stay but left after night 2. The location is amazing that cant be denied but after being out all day and night you want to come back to a clean bed and we couldn't even do that. A disappointing $700 spent.
Really good apartment for Broadbeach. Room is nice and good size, good balcony and view, 24h reception.nApartment is nice and functional. I really like the design separate the toilet door from the bed using the wardrobe. Very thoughtful. Thank you interior designer! It’s one of my biggest bugbears about hotel rooms!nFunctional kitchen with cooker, kettle, oven + microwave combo, dishwasher, plates, bowls, utensils, pots and pans. Short walk to Woolies for groceries.nDedicated closet for laundry and dryer even has the laundry sink.nApartment cleaning on the 3rd day and 7th day. You can request soap, shampoo etc via reception call / downstairs or order from the QR code.nMeriton also accessible from the back but for taxi and pickup best via the front door.n5 minutes walk flat road you can pull luggage to the big bus stop near Pacific Fair which you can get airport 777 or 700 bus cheap and quick airport transport. You can get tram to travel up and down the beach as well. You can get tram there to go up and down the beach as well.nThere is a 7/11 next door as well.
Meriton Suites have two Towers, service and check in is lovely and smooth. Customer service person was very chatty and friendly. The Garden Suite Rooms are best suited to those staying 5+ nights with internal laundry facilities washer and dryer plus dishwasher, full size fridge and sink / cooking equipment. Large room with couch and small desk / dining area.nnThe balcony / patio area leads straight out to Surf Parade however this is an exit only gate unless you pay an additional $100 bond for an extra key.
