The updates made to the hotel are lovely, certainly improving the quality. We stayed in a Harbour view room and have no complaints. Large room, separate bedroom with a large balcony and nice view. The staff are attentive and polite. There are good deals available with the accommodation so look around for ones that include breakfast,parking and restaurant credit.

This place is appalling. It's dirty, dusty, has broken facilities in the bathrooms, the decor is old scratched furniture and stained sofas. There has been a dead cockroach in my room for now 6 days that the cleaners refuse to touch. Nothing is replenished: every day I must call reception to ask for complimentary water bottles to be replenished. We are a family of five and yet they only bring up two bottles after an hour of calling. The snacks were not replenished until day 7. The dish washing liquid in our suite hasn't been replenished. There are door panels in the living area cupboard that open up and inside are bits of old wood panels and an old box. Once they deliver room service, they are reluctant to collect the trolley after and don't show up unless you call again the second day. They forget to take out the dustbins so leftover food ends up stinking the kitchen area out. There are five of us, yet they provided four towel sets and only two cups and saucers for tea, coffee and two plates? This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I will not come back. For 1,300 per night I expect a lot more. They've given up on this place.

Absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend the Royal Suite. Two levels with breath-taking views. Bed was like sleeping on a cloud and the views over Darling Harbour from the bathroom...amazing!! Hotel was great. Darling Harbour has been hit hard by Covid though, many of the shops in the mall are gone.

Ordered room service, really prompt and great service, food quality was good. Ate at Cucina, really great service and food. Overall wonderful experience. The only feedback I'd give is, we were promised a birthday cake, but unfortunately didn't receive it. I rang for it, and was told it was already delivered when it wasn't. Then was sent some chocolates, which was nice, but my son didn't get to sing happy birthday to my husband. Not a major thing though. Still happy.

Star never disappoints! Wonderful to receive a suite upgrade on check in as we were celebrating my birthday. Room was beautiful. Comfortable bed and appointed with all you need. Staff at checking & check out were welcoming & friendly. Room was dirty and dusty, over charged the room by $100+. Told one price at the desk and they charged a higher rate. Security staff exceptionally rude and arrogant in the casino. Do not recommend.Rooms: 3/5

Enticing Entertainment Venue Home of the Lyric Theatre, great restaurants, casual dining, a sports bar and more. Grab some cocktails and dinner prior to seeing a show. Good night out. Love your local travel guide - M

This is an unusual review as I did not enter the casino, but the security and medical staff were extremely helpful looking after me today when I sprained my ankle falling over outside the casino. They took every care and precaution to make sure I was ok iced and bandaged up and were charming, funny and very efficient. They advised which hospital to go to as we weren't locals which was a great help during our vacation - big thanks to the Star Staff!

Clean modern quiet 2 bedroom apartment. No cooking facilities and only a refrigerated drawer in kitchen. Valet parking a bonus. Plenty of dining choices and quick online room service ordering.Rooms: 4/5

Beautiful location and rooms. The service was great. Was disappointed in the function and cleanliness of the room, considering what we paid. There was mould and hair on the bathroom tiles in the shower. There was also lights in the room that you couldn’t turn off. Which doesn’t make sense, as your given a blackout blind but lights you can’t switch off. Otherwise stay was beautiful’ facilities were great
