Super unique spot housed in a former dispensary. Owners are cheerful and just what you need on a cold winter morning. We enjoyed the warm bread and eggs but weren’t as big a fan of the corn fritters we’re clearly in the minority here though, see the rave reviews and give it a shot!. Definitely worth the visit if you’re in the area - if not for the food, at least for the warm and friendly atmosphere. We’ll be back!
This cafe is such a gem It had such chill vibes & cool decor, being a cafe housed in what was previously a dispensary apparently the first dispensary-clinic in the British Empire too. The music fit the vintage decor perfectly, and I felt like I was in a time capsule! The oat flat white was yummy & the staff were cheery : highly recommend visiting it!
Staying close by we had walked past this quirky little cafe. Suitably intrigued, we came back for breakfast. Excellent coffee and the eggs Benedict was on point. I had the fried eggs. Simple and delicious. Highly recommended.
This Cafe has history for actually being a dispensary many years ago, their efforts to pay homage to the buildings history are really fun and quite detailed with all the medical paraphernalia around the whole building. The menu is not huge but the food was really nice and came out very quickly. The Dr Phyll smoothie was probably the best green smoothie I have ever had, absolutely delicious!
This cafe is so cool! The vibe is bright and fun, and the service is impeccable. Despite being busy the staff are always so pleasant and lovely to chat to. The food and coffee are always on point!! Highly suggest the corn fritters!
Brunching @thestkildadispensary a remodeled 1940s dispensary has got to be a highlight for us. We LOVED the gorgeous sandwiches and freshly done drinks/smoothies served in science lab glass beakers. ...SO CUTE A must check out spot!! We loved the service as well as the freshly made sandwiches If you have not planned your weekend brunching yet, definately check them out Thank you so for the amazing service @thestkildadispensary
Visited the St. Kilda Library this morning and was looking for nearby cafes. The St. Kilda Dispensary came up and we decided to give it a try. No regrets and we totally enjoyed our short time there. Apart from the interesting interiors it does look like a dispensary and my toddler was fascinated with the microscope on one side, we enjoyed the food as well. We were supposed to just have coffee but the toasties sounded yummy so we decided to give it a try. We had the Spicy Piadina and the Toastie with the Spanish ham. They were yummy!!! Will surely go back to try the other food in the future.
Such a cute cafe, located on a main street on St Kilda. Coffee was good, would have to go back to try out the food as it closes relatively early.
St Kilda Dispensary is definitely one of a kind! We thought the restaurant was just uniquely decorated, but turns out the building itself was first opened in 1940 as an actual dispensary largest in southern hemisphere too! We were amazed at how all the little touches were neatly placed which showed the history of the building without making the place feel crowded. Not only that, the food was great too. We ordered the Special item Corn fritters with salmon and a New Yorker . Both were so tasty and such great dishes for the summer The corn fritters were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, the beetroot horseradish cream added great flavors to all the items on the dish. The New Yorker is a sourdough sandwich with beef pastrami, sauerkraut, cheese and mustard mayo which came with crispy pretzels, mmm can’t go wrong with that! Of course we didn’t forget to get yummy iced coffee and fresh OJ which was served in a cute beaker The staff were so friendly and very attentive to our needs, we really appreciate that We also loved hearing the history of the place, so whenever you visit don’t forget to ask questions about the place only if they’re not busy though! We definitely see ourselves coming back here. We were talking about having a brunch party where everyone dresses up as doctors, nurses, etc to fit with the theme of the place hehe!
Favorite coffee shop in Melbourne! I found out about it on a blog and came all the way from Dubai to visit it! Staff is friendly and the vibeeee is sooo “Oh my God”! Enjoy the photos!
