"When is a sports bar not a sports bar? When it's the Spotted Cow. The Coorey family may be mad Rabbitohs fans but when they took over an old pub in Toowoomba in December 1995 they made sure that this was a bar where supporters of any code are welcome and even the footy-challenged can feel at home."

The classic Toowoomba pub. Family friendly. Sport friendly (particularly rugby - both codes) . A HUGE selection of excellent tap beer that would put any hipster Melbourne bar to shame. Lots of room. Quick bar service. Closely managed by the owners, so they rarely skip a beat. 

A massive menu for counter meals or at the bistro. The food is quite expensive, BUT the servings are generous and you can get a doggy bag if you want to savour your money's worth for breaky the next day. So on dollars per mouthful, very reasonable.

Hot tip - there's a dedicated car park on the northern side of Campbell St - don't spend ages hunting for a roadside space or paying for one during the week. 

Only downside - the owner is a Rabbitohs nut, which would be okay if that was a half decent team...

Frequent this place for lunch. The menu is pretty standard but I find the quality good and consistent. Prices is very reasonable.

Pub quiz on a Wednesday night was a great laugh, always some good craft beers on tap. Food looks to a decent pub grub standard, didn't try it but maybe next time.

Heard so much about this place & tried it for lunch with friends. I had the salmon because they'd run out of snapper. It had no sauce on it like was advertised in the menu, was overcooked & dry & the vegies were soft & tasteless like they had been sitting in boiled water for too long. No seasoning  & the meal was expensive for what I received. My  friend had the pork with crackling. It was so overcooked & dry, she couldn't cut it & her crackling was chewy. The kids chips were overcooked. I won't be back. There are better eateries in Toowoomba than this.
