I had the best customer service experience at the Toowoomba store today. I was trying to download the discount voucher before going through the checkout when Julian, the store manager, stopped to ask if I needed help. He managed to not only help me get the discount but also suggested ways to easily use the app. Julian is a wonderful asset to the Dan Murphy brand and I have no hesitation in recommending him and the Toowoomba store.
Great store with a wide selection of drinks at competitive prices. The layout makes it easy to find what you’re looking for, and the staff are always friendly and willing to help with recommendations.
Edit:- Have attached copy of refund receipt. Will redact review now and change to 4 starsnHowever story below remains the same.nPoor service. Ordered a Mitchell Clare Valley Riesling online through the Dan Murphys App for delivery and paid $15 for it. The order wasn’t delivered. Next day I popped into collect it at the front counter. Older guy at the counter asks me, and I tell him I am here for a collection. He straightaway says Doordash and Uber collections are behind him. I correct him and tell him, I made the order and am here to collect it. He calls the manager- a lady and I explain the situation to her, show her the messages, and the money paid for the delivery. She speaks to somebody on her headset. Asks me for ID, takes photos of the messages, writes down the order number and my name and license number. She gives me my order, I ask her if there is anything else, she asks me if I rang the Toll free number- I respond saying that no body answers the Toll free number, which is why I came into collect it myself. I ask her about a refund for the $15 for the delivery, she says she will action it. I ask her if I get a copy of the invoice or something in my email and she says you have collected it. I say thanks and walk off. As soon as I reach my car, a message comes in saying someone has sent you a gift and it is being delivered. I didn’t go back. Just left. I collect the order myself, show my ID, and I get a message saying it’s being delivered??? So stereotyping customer service, ripoff and poor service. What-every guy who shows up and is brown is a delivery guy? And if you can speak English well without an accent turns out you have suspicions about them? Will update if I get a refund of the $15 I spend for the delivery.
Good discount booze store with a super wide varriety of alcohol. Every section is clearly signed so you don't need to hunt around for what you are looking for. Knocked abstar off due to the really poor checkout arrangement. Should be done like a Woolies or Coles, not a side on version
Easy to park & wander in to the Federal Hotel for lunch or dinner after stocking up on your favourite drinkies.
