Newtown Hotel has a nostalgic and interesting atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it for people who are looking for a comfortable local spot to visit regularly.nnThe burger had a good flavour and was quite enjoyable. The chips served with the burger were cooked well, although I personally prefer chips with tomato sauce. There is also accessible parking, which is a positive point.nOverall, it is definitely worth trying.
The food is INCREDIBLE. 11/10 chicken parmy with chips and salad and sauce. Best chips I've had in Toowoomba! Absolutely incredible. I've always had great interactions with the polite and friendly staff here. Very reasonably priced drinks. Also they do an incredible $20 steak + sauce + chips/salad/veges/mash pick two special.nOh, and there's a toasty warm wood fire place you can sit next to if you're feeling chilly. :D
A good, solid pub meal.nnThe Newtown hasn’t changed much over the years, and that’s not a bad thing. In a time when many pubs are trying to be fancy “gastropubs,” it’s nice to see one that still feels familiar. The décor is a bit dated, but it doesn’t take away from the meal.nnWe went straight to the mains complimentary chicken wings provided. My wife had the pork schnitzel — a big serve and good value for the price. I had the porterhouse steak, cooked just right to medium‑rare, and it was tender.nnService was polite, and even though the place was busy, the meals came out in good time.nnAll up, The Newtown is still doing what it does best: hearty food, fair prices, and a comfortable setting.
When doing transfers in or out of Toowoomba, it's our go to place for lunch. The daily steak special is pretty darn good value. I order medium-rare and they never disappoint
Chicken wings are so good nAll the food was good and the staff were excellent nI honestly should've taken better photos.nAnd my dessert was absolutely beautiful. Perfectly done
