Authentic Indian cuisine specialising in Peshawari style cooking located on Sydney Harbour, Circular Quay.

Story

Amidst the lanes that run parallel to the train tracks in the Indian town of Chittor Aquila, alongside the Tea Stalls and busy roadside eateries, proudly stands the relics of a Grand Haveli Mansion No. 89.

The residents of this Grand Kothi no longer live here, but the home is full of memories, beautiful heirlooms, family photographs and treasured possessions which contain more than a whiff of Royal Lives gone by.

In the Interior Courtyard, amongst the antiques and faded grandeur, The Spice Room serves authentic Indian food. Selections of street food, sharing platters of tasty nibbles, royal banquets, tandoori delicacies, delicious curries and sweet desserts are savoured and enjoyed.

The exotic colours and heady aromas of spices combine to create a sublime feast for all the five senses.

Great venue for family dinner. Food was very tasty and well priced. No view, but great ambiance and close to circular quay.

Excellent restaurant and delicious food, preparation, ambience, cool staff. Book your table on weekends by calling or online booking. Always full because of its tasty food dishes.

One of the best Indian restaurants I've been to in Sydney, the food is sublime, service is great and the staff are helpful. Location is great, albeit a bit cramped inside but not too bad. Definitely recommend going here, best Indian food that I've had in the CBD by far.

Food was bland, batter on pakora was way too thick, mushrooms and veg were under cooked and in no way spicey. Was here 10 years ago and gave a 5 star .. recommend avoiding now

Starters were good. Main course was kind of ok types.  Main course portion size were very small.

Good location but prices a bit high for serving sizes offered and quality of food.

I like the taste of this restaurant. It’s pretty good than other so many Indian restaurants. Loved their naan, tandoori mushroom. The only thing for which I am giving 4 stars is that the options are bit limited on menu. Would be great if they have more options. The staff is very friendly.
