Story

We are a Family Destination Cafe. Our farmyard is full of farmyard animals that you can feed. Also a very popular Mini-golf course, playground plus outdoor chess and Pétanque. Our cafe has a great choice of cabinet food or you can choose off our menu which includes a menu for kids. Great coffee and tea also available. We also have a newly established private area, perfect for children's parties or special events.

If you are on SH1 travelling south, and looking for a refreshment break or to stretch you (or the kids) legs, this is a great place (including an indoor play put and swings/slides outdoors). 

Lots (!!!) of space (especially on a warm day), a good selection of food in a very New Zealand themed environment. 

The drinks aren't the very best, the service isn't super quick, but the place more than makes up for it with quirkiness.

It's a know or so off the main highway, and even though there is a sign in a paddock, it's not the easiest to spot if you are travelling at speed.  And getting back onto the highway to head North demands huge amounts of patience.  But next time I am in that part of country hosting visitors, I'll be popping in.

It's worth a visit.

Great family place, good food and good coffee and very friendly staff. Animals out the back for children to checkout. Or a good place if you just want to sit outside and relax

Gluten free meals (more than two options,  they have lots of options! ) family friendly, spy a painted rock and you may get an ice block! Quirky indoor playroom, minigolf and the farmyard animals. Our new best Eat Out place in Timaru district.

We absolutely love the Shearers quarters excellent place for children has a wee farmyard of animals and a cute we playground also great for private functions great platters highly recommend this place
