I liked Mr Jacks.  The staff weren't just friendly,  made you feel welcome.  The food was good,  including the option of buying yesterdays food heavily discounted.  The coffee was good.  The view was interesting,  looking out on the main road coming into Timaru. There is some off road parking. 

It's small, noisy if you have to sit outside,  and blandly decorated.   But had a great feel about it.

We didn't try the takeaways,  so can't comment on those.

Open Sundays, pleasant and friendly service.   Outdoor seating  with good coffee and food. Clean and tidy .
