Guinness Bar: Open from 11.00AM - 8.30PM in the Guinness Bar for bistro meals, desserts, pizzas and kid's menu. Grazing menu available in the Bar until closing at 1am.

Restaurant: Open Friday - Sunday during Winter for A la Carte, and full Bistro Menu's. Summer hours Wednesday to Sunday.

We ordered lamb shank, chicken burger, traditional fish and chips. The lamb shanks were good and enjoyable. However, the chicken burger had an overcooked pattie, burnt bacon pieces and overdone fries. We had to send the chips and part of the chicken pattie back. The battered fish and chips were also over cooked but to a lesser degree. Although they replaced the fries on our request there was little interest shown in ensuring satisfaction. The visibly over cooked food should not have got to our table. Disappointed. As locals we wont go back again. Their loss.

We are regular visitors to The Salty Dig but this time were disapponted the fish and chip meal was not to the usual standard the batter was oozing oil, it was so greasy, plus the amount of fish has been decreased and the chips were cold. We are senior citizens and on a Fixed income we have been able to order a cheese board with one cheese which is enough for us, for ten dollars, or you could order two for twenty dollars that choice is no longer available, it’s the &20!or none, so we didn’t have one. The pizza however was very good. The best thing about yesterday was the waitress Lani, she had been left by herself by management and was dealing efficiently withs Busy period, all the tables were full, she was on the till, taking orders and waitressing, a marvellous girl, she should get a raise. Despite virtually running she was cheerful and pleasant, Lani would be an asset to any employer.?

Solid old pub and restaurant. There a pool table and 2 dart boards. I'd say it needs a bit of a spruce up inside to make it a bit more comfortable but otherwise good for a beer and a cheap pub dinner.

Friendly staff but poor food. Had fish and chips which were presented beautifully but the fish was old. Mentioned the problem (constructively) to staff and was made to feel like I was bothering them. Was told the chef was upset to have a meal returned. Would think they’d be grateful to be made aware if they were delivered a bad batch of fish before serving it to other customers. Really sad to see a place with so much potential deliver such an underwhelming experience.
