There are many gyms in Richmond. None of the others however offer the consistent expert knowledge and support that The Richmond Gym have provided. Years of desk work and mountain biking had left me with a whole manner of aches and pains. My physio recommended strength training but a few sessions in a normal gym made it clear I needed help. I needed someone who knew their shit! After 3 months of training twice a week with James and Ash I was free of aches and pains. The imbalances in my body from poor posture and injuries seemed to correct themselves. Most importantly to me though, was the increase in power I could produce on the bike was noticed by everyone of my regular riding buddies! I will continue to train at the Richmond Gym for the foreseeable future, not only because it improves my biking and day to day life but also because The Richmond Gym is a community of like-minded, humble, good people.

The staff at The Richmond Gym catered for a knee related sports injury which had been giving grief for more than 2 months. James introduced various exercises to support the knee from different directions and after a month of following his exercises, I have been able to get back to my sport with no pain. Thanks Richmond Gym for the help.

The highest quality PT and group training in Melbourne, all science based. Can’t recommend highly enough!!

The TRG culture and community is what keeps me coming back, the tailored gym work outs and well-rounded science behind the exercise is just an added bonus! I love the welcome I always receive coming in, the banter, and how Ash and James can always provide an alternative exercise if ever I'm feeling tender or have an injury. If you're after smaller class sizes, trainers who know your name, and exercise that makes sense, come check out The Richmond Gym!

The Richmond Gym is a great training space. James Ross is an excellent strength and conditioning coach with a lot of experience and a wealth of detailed scientific training knowledge. He is able to deliver excellent programs for trainers of all levels, from elite athletes, through to complete beginners.
