Story

The Refreshment Room is located on the site of the old Montana Winery. A large deck offers outside dining with views over the Waitakere bush.The chefs incorporate their passion for rustic Italian fare, with a regularly changing menu based around fresh, seasonal ingredients. Fully licensed and only 5 minutes from Titirangi Village. The Event Room (downstairs at The Refreshment Room) is now open for day time corporate workshops and training, special parties, art exhibitions, music and comedy gigs, small weddings and conferences, etc. We are also now open seven days and earlier brunch time 09:30am on Fri, Sat and Sun. www.therefreshmentroom.co.nz.

Went in with my fiance last night and we had a fabulous meal. We had the ricotta spinach dumplings, calamari, and steak. Everything was excellent they make a good negroni and the service was extremely friendly and helpful. I'm seeing a lot of reviews saying new management has made this place worse, well if it was better than this than it was excellent. I've eaten all over the world and this was a fantastic meal. I will be back and I would recommend it anyone.

Great place to have a restaurant, after a good walk food and drink are needed. No baby changing facilities here and the children's menu is very poor but adult meals are very impressive and not what I expected from a place on the side of the road. Beautiful fish dish, squid and meatballs recommend.

My partner and I stopped in for a coffee just before 5pm. We were seated and given menus. We ordered just coffees and we're told that "it's busy tonight so you can't stay too long" unsubtley displaying attitude bc we didn't order food.  The restaurant literally had two other people inside... 
When we went to pay my boyfriend only had a $50 and she rudely sighed and said that she had no change and acted like it was our problem. I think had to search the car desperately looking for $9 haha. 
Yeah not a great all round experience... 
The man was very nice and welcoming but she was polar opposite.

Have messaged them on fb and email 3 times. No answer. I was drugged at this restaurant, presumably by the person i had lunch with. Have asked regarding camera footage, but they must be so rude as they haven't even replied. !!
