Story

La Rosa Restaurant is a cosy, casual, family friendly Italian eatery, that seats up to 60 pax and is ideal for all sort of celebrations. We are open lunch and dinner with an extensive menu from Italy and the Mediterranean area, including home made pasta.

La Rosa is such a hidden gem. I’ve been going since 2019, and it’s been consistently amazing every single time. Their mojitos? Literally unmatched, perfectly balanced, super minty, and just the right amount of strong.nnThe staff are always warm and accommodating. They even gave my daughter an activity pack, which was such a sweet touch. The kids menu has great options, and she devoured her spaghetti bolognese.nnI had the arancini balls to start, then the potato salad with added chicken. Girl… it was the biggest salad I’ve ever seen. Normally it’s vegetarian, the amount of feta was incredible I was so happy  so if that’s your vibe, the value for money is incredible. The arancini were cheesy, golden, and paired with the most delicious marinara sauce.nnThe risotto was gorgeous, the scallops were cooked perfectly, and to top it off, we even got a cute photo tonnTruly a lovely spot, always reliable, always delicious. Highly recommend.

Incredible experience. The best Italian food I’ve had in a long time.nnThe staff were so friendly and accomodating, the restaurant was humming with other guests having a great time and the food was outstanding from start to finish.nnEvery dish we had was so flavourful that I can’t possibly decide which was best. I can’t wait to go back and try other things on the menu because there was so much to choose from!nnI knew we were going to be in for a treat but I didn’t expect it to be this good! If you live further away it’s definitely worth the trip, you have to tick this place off if you enjoy Italian food who doesn’t?

Me and my partner went on Valentine's Day and although it was quite busy the service and food was fast and perfect.nWe had the arancini, gamberi insanely delicious, half duck, and the nights special - lobster and prawn pappardelle which is the best dish I've had in my life I think.nThe tiramisu was perfect - not too rich but not too light.nThe only thing I didn't love was my cranberry juice - tasted syrupy?nAnd the servers were all so lovelyyyyyyy

Warm and inviting atmosphere. Lovely prompt and efficient customer service. Food is delicious , definitely one of my top favourite Italian food restaurants. They also have a lunch special that would be worth checking out. Look forward to a return visit.

Excellent establishment. Family owned business I'm assuming. Felt very welcomed here from entering the front door, to being greeted & seated, explanation of specials right through to entire service. Have not felt this standard of attentiveness in hospitality for a very long time. Glad to have visited this establishment being a local of glen eden. Will definitely be back here with our family to share the experience.nEntrees were speechless, mains were cooked perfectly. We ordered steak with cheese sauce and walnuts unable to spell or pronounce properly but it accompanied the meat 100 percent. We also enjoyed the dessert we had. Probably one of the best places I have reviewed over my years of visiting different establishments around NZ. La Rosa Resutaurant = Top Notch punching above and beyond expectations.
