The Princess Theatre on Spring Street in Melbourne is a gem of historical charm and architectural beauty, offering an enchanting experience from start to finish. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the comfortable seating along with excellent acoustics made for a perfect night. The performance was outstanding, with talented actors and meticulous production quality that brought the story to life. Whether you're a local or a visitor, a night at the Princess Theatre is a must for a taste of Melbourne's vibrant cultural scene. Highly recommended!
Nice old theatre that seats 1500. We paid the $55 seats which were excellent location and had a good view. The seats are very narrow so expect to be rubbing shoulders with those seated next to you, as well your bum will get sore as not a lot of padding. The place has old world charm so it is all part of the experience. We saw Sunset Boulevard in July 2024. Happy to go back here for future shows. Grand old place....
Also a member of Melbourne’s East End Theatre District, Princess Theatre was just as architecturally stunning as its sisters though Regent still had the grandest entrance. Dress Circle middle seats offered the best view to the stage. Basic snacks & drinks were available.
Lovely old theatre with lots of character. Saw Sunset Boulevard here July 2024. We sat in the dress circle and had a great view.nnOur only complaint is that it was very very warm the night we were there. As it was winter we rugged up, with layers thankfully. Made for a little bit of an uncomfortable evening.
A lovely old theatre with good views from most seats. The stage was perfect for a show like Ground Hog Day and I cannot wait for the next amazing show at the Princess.
