8 Jun 2024 - We went to the Regent Theatre to watch the theatre play 'Wicked'. Loved it so much.nThe theatre has been renovated. It looks very clean and elegant.nWe were at the highest seating area Dress 4, Row R but it still felt okay and does not feel that far up.
Fantastic venue. Over the years I have seen many shows here. The 2100 seat plus auditorium is a comfortable space to view the productions. Before the event starts its worth just sitting and looking at the ornate space including the intricate detail of the ceiling. This time we booked our seats in row B of the dress circle, and it was by far a magical experience. This exquisite, classy theatre is a great home to any live production.
Very nice theater. We went to see Wicked and it did not disappoint. The set was well done. It felt like you were actually in the land of Oz. The theater is not overly big so every seat is a good seat.
What a building of beauty.nWzternly and internally it's such a aesthetically pleasing venue.nWe were there for Wicked musical Australia.nShow was fantastic and the cast were amazing but the theatre itself stole the show.nWere not local so it was our first time in this venue.
Had a great time watching WICKED in Regent Theatre. A lovely Victorian theatre with beautiful antique looking interiors. If you have the time in Melbourne, you must checkout the theatre and watch some of the performances here. You won’t regret it!! Highly recommended to watch the performance here.
