Such a beautiful store inside one of Brisbane’s heritage building, Brisbane Arcade. Such a treat to come here. Pen Shop is not just for pens but many other items for gifts of for yourself. They sell high end good quality products: pens, writing pads journals hats, walking stick umbrellas, trinket boxes and many many more.

My favourite shop!  The best pen shop ever!  My best experience and my highest quality pens are coming from them!  Barbara,  the owner,  is a legend!  It's my dream to spend time in that shop.  Been there for a large number of years and love it as my best go to shop.  I missed them even when I lived in Europe and I didn't have the chance to physically visit them.

My Husband and I have been buying things from the shop since 2012.. we always enjoy the experience so many choices as well as beautiful unique gifts. Such as umbrellas and paper weights . However a recent visit into the store was nothing short of an arrogant lady displaying her need to shuffle us in and out as quick as possible. All she wanted to know how much money we were going to spend and after first 15 seconds and four questions regarding a budget she continued her arrogant backhanded comments actually as we walked out the door. This was after we had already agreed on a budget to satisfy her questions. She did tell us that she has been in for 22 years which I think she thought she had a right to treat people with no respect or even a small touch of delightfulness. We will be buying  two Pens today and we will not be buying them off the Pen  shop. They have lost our business.

Extensive range of products, wonderful staff and true expertise in all things stationery. Will become a regular stop on my visits to Brisbane.

I cannot begin to tell you how stunningly beautiful this shop is. The staff who served me were caring, kind, attentive and passionate about giving me the very best service and what’s more knew exactly what I needed, and how to meet m need. Not only was the owner present, she gave me some stellar advice about penmanship, demonstrated her stunningly beautiful writing hand and she was delightful and generous with her kindness. I have left the store filled with joy. Gratias, Gratias Gratias.

One of the best pen shop in Brisbane City, very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Small but having a lot of veriety for writing instruments. Visited this shop couple of time, things which were not available anywhere, got it here

Have been a big fan forever. Just bought my wife three sets of Caran d’Ache pencils. Shop is beautiful and the staff so helpful.

I had no idea what I wanted or needed as a beginner calligrapher. Did I want a fountain pen… or Dip pen and variety of nibs… I really had no idea and needed support to sift through my thoughts. A really lovely young man, whose name I didn’t catch, was so patient and supportive… he gave me a range of pens and nibs to try… talked about the differences… showed us many options which allowed me to test and discover just where I wanted to increase my skills.. and which products I needed! What fun! I love this shop and all the staff were amazing… especially the wonderful young man who served and supported me. I remember walking past this store many times over the past 35 odd years and I found today that the same family owned it that entire time! Shopping in this lovely store was a real treat and I will definitely be returning regularly.

Awesome experience last weekend buying a fountain pen for my special birthday.The Asian gent who served us was patient   polite and knowledgeable.He spent over 30 minutes with us,  no questions was unanswered, he even changed nibs on a couple of pens for me to try.No pushy sales, he was patient and so knowledgeable.An awesome experience.

I’ve been purchasing fountain pens from this shop since 2011 and it’s just sad to see the quality of customer service is now at the lowest level I’ve ever seen. As we all know that fountain pens have small issues like too much or too less ink flow or skipping those sort of thing and I used to bring to back and they can just fix it easily within 30 mins. Very Happy back that time. Now recently I made another purchase and it skips while writing. So I brought it back. But this time, the sales assistant named Barbara started to be arrogant and unprofessional, even refer me as a difficult customer to my face. If she wants any customer just walks in and put down the money, pick the product and be gone, then yes I am a difficult one. I believe I should deserve more respect just considering I am a regular repeat customer who’s spend over 5k there throughout the years. Won’t be back to that shop anymore. Would rather buy online than back to that arrogant shop.
