Was offered the choice between 8 hr helium or 24 hr helium. Chose the 24hr so I could surprise my son for his birthday tomorrow morning and this is how they look 8hr later. Very disappointed

I had one of the most unpleasant shopping experiences today at this store. I went in to buy some birthday decorations and spent quite a lot. When I went to choose a ribbon for my balloons — which were all displayed right next to the cashier counter — one of the staff members an Asian girl suddenly yelled at me from across the room, telling me not to go there.nnI was completely shocked. My hands were shaking because I thought something serious or dangerous had happened. But it turned out she was just being rude for no reason.nnIf customers are not allowed to approach that area, why on earth would you display products there for us to choose from? This behavior was unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. I left the store feeling humiliated and upset. Honestly, I feel sorry for the management if this is how they allow their staff to treat paying customers.

I have been a customer of The Party People for over 12 years. Julie and Josh have always help me with all my party supplies. They are friendly and take the hassle with the decision planning ideas I have.  It’s a one stop shop for all your events under one roof. Thank you also making all my events memorable. 5

Unfortunately changing my review from 5 stars to 1 after recent events.nnUsually I get great service from these guys and have been a customer for 6 years…. but my last 2 experiences were woeful.nnHad a very rude lady on the phone tell me “we don’t do personal shopping for people” when I politely and simply asked if some items were in stock.nnAlso paid $60 our entire decoration budget on a very special balloon that I knew would bring joy to my son for weeks one of those car walker balloons with weights when I asked staff if it could be a floating balloon as the party is outside and I didn’t want it on the grass for fear of popping… they said yes, and to remove the weights that make it a walker and tied the ribbons around the wheels and advised me to buy 2 of the normal balloon weights to hold it down and make it float which I did.nnBefore my son even got to enjoy it, a gust of wind blew it away because it turned out the wheels were only stuck on! So tying the ribbons around the wheels was an absolute failnnI rang and asked if I could get a partial refund as it was the DRUMMOYNE PARTY SHOP STAFF who tied the string and it was the party shop staff who advised to remove the other weights.nnAt first they said they couldn’t do anything because it should have been a walker balloon and I shouldn’t have removed the weights… when I explained I did this on THEIR ADVICE.they still wouldn’t take responsibility and said things like “but I didn’t know it was an outdoor party” and “it was and extremely windy day yesterday” even though they knew that info before advising me.nnThey ended up settling for a measly $20 credit for more balloons. Not really helpful after the parties over.nnVery disappointed. Here’s the only photo I got of the wasted balloon
