The Park Hotel

Fantastic customer service and a well run hotel. The front office staff are amazing and were super nice to our two girls. Special mention to Ross and Deb for going that little extra mile that separates this place from the rest. The kids loved the pool and Xmas tree. Enjoyed our stay, nice clean room, comfortable bed, quiet. Really need to do something about a door for the shower, bathroom floor gets very wet. Downstairs bar was great, tapas was yum. Breakfast was good. Top floor pool looked like a great place to be on a hot day.

On arrival, no room ready & no where to wait apart from a chair in foyer. Got to room at last, threadbare, fraying carpet, sink blocked, when I ran the water it flowed up into the sink, grey & full of hair & sludge. Complained to staff, offered to move to another room, did so late at night. New room was also terrible, threadbare carpet with rolls in carpet that I tripped over. Fridge was a rattler that made loud noise all night, bed had a big dip in it. No pillow cases. No luggage rack. Had a terrible night with no sleep. When I went to desk to check out a day early, I was told that as I had booked through an airline I couldn’t get a refund from the hotel, had to phone the airline. Extremely unhappy, I will never stay in a Rydges again. Wish there was an option for minus stars

The place is old and really needs some work doing. Walls are paper thin. They had a party down stairs and it was so loud we couldn’t get to sleep til it had finished. Then we were woken by the neighbour showering at 6am on a Sunday. Room is nice and clean and beds were comfortable. Shower has a rainfall head which is annoying and looked to be falling out of the roof. Drainage isn’t great, so the bathroom almost flooded. On arrival, we were told the lift was out of order. We were given a drinks card for the bar as compensation for the inconvenience and were able to use the service lift to get our luggage to our room but we felt extremely unsafe in that life. Okay stay for one night, maybe two, but certainly needs some general maintenance work doing.

Spent two nights in a spa suite. The staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet was great. The room was a little dated and I hate the little milk servings the provided. I like milky coffee and was going down stairs three times a day to get more milk! However the spa was awesome! Better than anything I have seen in 17 years of hotel stays.

Very disappointing stay. The photo shows the "clean" shower covered in previous guests hair, not just hair from their head either. The shower screen was missing a panel making the bathroom a wet room. The building complete is quiet tired and needs a face lift. You can hear guests above and beside you throughout the night as well. Such a shame considering the location of this place. The bar area is nice and staff were helpful throughout. Just isnt worth the price.

Bathroom smell was not acceptable, asked to change room the other day, a newer bathroom but terrible smell in the bedroom area, then we asked to change again, finally we got a nice room for the last tow days of our 7 day stay, but we found the toilet flush is not powerful to fully flush the toilet thing, assuming they put poor budget on bathroom plumbing. While we complaining, most stuffs are helpful, but one lady was very rude, she even tried to stop other stuff helping us.

Great staff. Rooms are old. Windows don’t open. Carpet in elevator pretty old. Gym ... well no longer a gym. Location is great, though. Parkview rooms are the best. Hotel needs a major renovation. Breakfast tolerable.

Omg such an easy place to reach by car. We parked and walked Everywhere. The rooms were outstanding and cosy. The staff were helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.The roof top pool area was a great place to chillax. The buffet breakfast was a feast of choices and then in the afternoon to help wind down was happy hour. I will definitely stay there again

We had a work function on the pool deck on Friday night. Excellent venue. Intimate bit still large enough to easily accommodate 100+ guests. Food provided was lovely although the bbq prawns were quite 'flowery' and had no crunch. Pulled pork wraps were delicious.
