2/3/23 - I got a response from the owner asking to provide more details in the contact us page but after providing as requested absolutely no response or action from the owner or the restaurant. Then I went had a look at all other reviews which had 1 star and they all got simulate responses to me. So wondering what’s the purpose of asking to do something but then no action from there. The customer service was terrible on Saturday 25th February. We were seated towards the end closer to the party room and there was no one coming to our table to take orders. When I was heading to the front counter to order I saw the guy taking orders in another table. Why indifference towards us? Is it because we are not the locals. This is what frustrates me the most, discrimination. What’s the point if the food is good and we get such a treatment. Am sorry to say I would consider this as discrimination. Even when I went to pay at the end the other lady at the counter was also hopeless. She just mentioned the bill amount and did not even care in asking how the food was etc. I never expected such a treatment from this place.
Did not book for Mother’s Day. We were seated within minutes by the hostess/ manager. Were attended to just as quickly. Meals came out in what seemed like minutes. Just a note, entrée Tabriz is one filled pancake, if you order a main Tabriz, the portion is two filled pancakes. As always, consistent, delicious, fresh. Never have a sore tummy afterwards. Suggest sharing an It dessert, just beautiful with warm walnuts.
This would have to be the first Tuesday that the food portions haven’t been stingy or sad looking. Tonight‘s meals were hot, fresh and tasty. Normally at least for Tuesdays, the salads are very sad, wilted and portion sizes are for children. also then slapped with a bill over $60, which pancake parlour has always been overpriced so three stars is very generous. This particular pancake parlour, could certainly learnt a lot from the Doncaster one. All the front of house staff are always friendly and happy so that’s at least a positive.
Service was less than great. Was meeting a friend for lunch, but they were running late. Was sitting in a booth for over an hour, and in that time not one server asked if i wanted to order, when i asked at the till if i could order was told someone would come over to my table and take my order. No one came. When my friend arrived we were served rather quickly and well. It wasn't even busy, just poor customer service.
Helpful staff, great service and expectation exceeding generosity from the manager in ensuring our son had a special birthday celebration with his friends yesterday. I highly recommend the kids meals for a an affordable option. There is a choice of savoury and sweet plus fizzy or milk drinks and most of all lots of space to have small and larger groups. Kid-friendliness: More than adequate space to have small and large groups for families and parties. Dietary restrictions: Lots of choices and responsive staff to modify meals as necessary for individual needs
Got take away for dinner. Pancakes were very burnt. Might be time to get some new cooks. It used to be high quality. This was around 6pm on 23rd April. You just expect to be able to trust the Pancake Parlour name to always be good.
Absolutely appalling service!!! Arrived today at 1215 for lunch. Sat in a booth pretty promptly. Once sat we waited a while to be served, its ok, lunch time in the school holidays, no issue. The waitress, if you could call her that, came over and took our very basic order: 2 x pint milkshakes, deluxe fries and kids chicken strips. Once WE repeated our order to her she realised she had taken the order wrong!! After 20 mins 2 small milkshakes arrived, once we pointed out that it was incorrect, she rolled her eyes with zero apology and said she'd take them back. 10 mins later we got the correct drinks. Still yet to receive the drink for the children's meal. After a further 25 mins of watching said waitress yawning and flirting with the other waiter we realised our deluxe fries had be sitting on the counter, with no heat lamps for some time about 10 mins As she approached with the fries we sent them back and walked out. 45 mins to receive 2 drinks!!!!! The issues was brought to the attention of the 'manager?' Once again no apology!!! $19.60 later for 2 drinks we never even drank If the staff took as much care in their job as they do their make-up perhaps they'd do a half decent job! We will not be going back.
Gave it 2 stars because of the exorbitant prices! The food was ok but the food cost for a potato pancake, with melted cheese and a small handful of uninspiring salad would be 2-3$ and the cost of this plate was $29!!!!! Having been in the restaurant business I get the need to make money but when you add your weekend surcharge on top of our meal, then it’s highway robbery. We paid an extra $11 in surcharge for what? We ordered the meal ourselves from the table menu online and the meal was extraordinarily basic.
Never any issues with pancake parlour. Food is always out quickly. Kids love it. Adults love it. Everyone loves it. Always do appreciate the pencils and colouring for the kids as it’s always a perfect amount of distraction for them to sit still until their “dinner” arrives.
Consistently good pancakes and drinks. With Covid restrictions eat in times are timed. $5 Friday lasagna or potato cheese pancakes and salads are unbeatable in price and value. Available online only. Had a small glitch with the order and the lady serving us was extremely switched on, apologetic and looked after us. 5 stars for her top customer service! Takeaway portion sizing of the salad is a tad smaller than Knox- but still fantastic.
